This gem of a place gives you easy hikes on well groomed self-guided trails. Lots of interesting info provided and plenty of wildlife (especially birds) to see. Nice picnic area and interpretive centre with helpful staff.

The kids loved exploring and feeding the birds. The paths were a bit slippery but that is to be expected in the winter. Remember to bring bird feed and the chickadees will eat right out of your hands!

This was our family's first visit to the sanctuary. Staff at the visitor's center were helpful and cooperative. We walked the red-wing trail and enjoyed it, except for the deer flies (not anyone's fault, just nature!). I can not comment on the camping as we...More

We have camped from coast to coast and still this is one of our favorite campgrounds. Campsites are spacious, have water and electricity, washroom facilities are clean, swimming and boating are very close. Note that there is no playground for children, however lots of room...More
