The lake is lovely, surrounded by hills and big trees, it is almost the perfect size , people were sailing. it was slightly drizzling but we hired pedallos anyway and the rain stopped and the sun shone and the water was very clear. On the shore is a reconstruction of a Stone Age village. We did not go in, but you can look in. Not surprising that people have been living here all this time. We had lovely milkshakes at the bar next to the carpark. There are so many lovely places to see in the valley and this is one of them.

The smallish Lago di Cavedine is located approx. 10 km North of Arco and is well accessible by car.
If you have time left, it's a great place to visit and to walk, because the setting of the lake and the scenery are just awesme.
The water is relatively cold, which makes the lake not a good swimming place.

Dropped in here for a soft drink and an ice cream on a beautiful sunny September afternoon. I'd seen The lake from the Monte Brento BASE jump exit point on numerous occasions so thought I would come and have s look close up. A simply stunning location.
The best place to park (free) Is by the WindValley bar and windsurf school.

We stopped there on our way to Arco in early September. Quick visit, quiet place but nothing special!

There is a nice MTB tour from Arco to the lake and back, but there isn't anything really attractive about tke lake itself. There are way better choices around (like Tenno, Ledro) and you can skip this one.

Or have a cappuccino! We stumbled across this lake on a bike ride heading back in the direction of Arco and were so pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a lake. Lovely cafe with charming staff and very affordable treats. Will definitely go back!

A beautiful lake next to the Marocche Nature reserve. Since the lake is fed by the Sarche river, the water remains cold all year long with a maximum of about 15 degrees in August. Splendid views of Monte Brenta, Monte Casale and in the distance the Paganella ridge. If you do not like the crowds of lake Garda, this is your beach. Surfing is possible at the Windvalley Surf Center.

Its a beautiful place. There is only a few people, very peaceful and quiet . One restaurant near lake side ( very good, especially gnocchi ) and second one across the street ( we didn't. eat there ). Good thing is to go there by bike. From arco and back its about 40 km. Beatiful bike road, only 10-15 % of the route length is on the normal road for cars ( but is also safe cause they drive slowly with attention ). Good luck

This is an awesome place with a magic atmosphere.
Perfect to visit by bike or just for a running session.
close to Arco and Riva del Garda, it is quite far from crowded places.
There is a Surf school with a nice bar and restaurant, most of foods is home made.
Tagliatelle al peso and pizza are awesome!

Grazie a chi mi risponde.
Written July 4, 2016
É balneabile e si può fare il bagno. Il problema é la temperatura dell acqua che é davvero gelata anche d estate.. Io personalmente in agosto non sono riuscito a entrare ma c era gente in acqua quindi é soggettiva la cosa..!
