After seeing the great reviews I ear marked Omkafe for a visit whilst staying in Riva del Garda. The museum upstairs was quite interesting then we ventured downstairs where we were offered an expresso to try. As I drinker of coffee with milk I wasn't sure about the tasting so we opted to go with the Platino beans. Since arriving home the beans have not lasted long as when made to our liking it was simply delicious coffee...our only regret now is not buying a larger supply. They also have lots of gifts , coffee chocolates etc so if you love coffee make sure to drop in.

I found this place completely by mistake - looking around the wrong place using Google Streetview, the building's shape and name caught my attention. Omkafe is a local brand of coffee and a supplier for many establishments in the Trento region. They've set up a new location in Arco's industrial zone, where they both make the coffee and sell it. On the bottom floor you'll find a shop selling exquisite coffee beans of several varieties (We brought home a 1kg bag) as well as sweets, espresso machines, cups and so forth. On the top floor you'll find a small coffee museum displaying an array of historical espresso machines, lots of different coffee beans, and a small porch right into the factory from which you can see the whole process of preparing and storing the beans. This is all free, and the friendly staff will gladly make you a cup of espresso to taste their beans without a charge. Last but not least - the smell is so good you'll never want to leave.

If you are in northern Italy and have a taste for the dark matter you've got to visit and buy from this company ,most of the coffee that's drunk in this region is Omkafe ,after spending a few hours tasting there different blends of coffee beans I came away with 3kg of beans which is so much cheaper than it is back in the UK and the taste is fantastic , well worth a visit even if its to see some of there old espresso machines

Expect the production side of the brew and less tasting. You are here to see the roasting, packaging and history of a local traditional coffee operation. Offers slurps of the premium beans, purchasing and some paraphanelia.

My wife and I stopped here for a quick trip to buy coffee beans for gifts. We were pleasantly surprised as we walked in instantly we were offered espresso to sample, based on a bean roast of our choice. (Double winner for me).
They had a sampling guide available to describe and chart their different roasts.
Above the shop was a museum with different types of coffee grinders, roasters and machines for prepping coffee.
Overall we thought we scored big time on this stop over.

We loved the coffee, thank you! And the museum is excellent. Friendly people and they even had our Australian Keep Cups for sale. Glad to see an Aussie coffee invention in a coffee roasters in Italy.... now to work out how to keep our supply going after we drink through our 2kg of beans.

Watching how a roastery works is very interesting. Great exhibits in the museum. Sampling the coffee makes choosing what coffee to buy so easy. Well informed and knowledgable staff. Nice shop with all sorts of coffee cups and pots. Worth a visit on a rainy day. Really enjoying the coffee back home

Third visit last summer and always a pleasure to buy our coffee at Omkafe. There's choice in coffee of course but also in gifts.

An interesting place to visit. We had been staying in Malcesine, the hotel and just about all the coffee shops were using Omkafe. We got hooked on it as an all-day drinkable coffee. Now back home in England, I buy about 25-30Kg of beans and have them shipped to me. The last 3 times, when I opened the carton, the beans were still warm from roasting. Cant get much fresher than that! The quality is very reliable and has a good shelf life, packed in special foil bags of 500g of beans. I use a bean -to-cup machine, so just add water, coffee beans and remove the waste grounds (great on the garden as a mulch!) Well worth a visit if you are near the top of Lake Garda.
