Platja Cap Roig is one of the beaches located in L'Ampolla, a town in the South of Catalonia. In fact, it is located in the Cap Roig Urbanization, close to the town. It is a familar beach, which is not full of people, so it is a very calm place to go all day to bath and sunbath, with children, friends or alone. Beautiful place.

We spent almost 2 weeks going to that beach every morning. It does not get too crowded, however first line is usually taken by 11am. The water is clear and shallow, so perfect for the kids (it did get very windy and stormy couple of afternoons though). The bar has good coffee, refreshments and light bites and music, you can do some water activities like SUP and lifeguards are always on the watch.

This beach is fabulous! Spent the day here with both older and younger children, the older ones took advantage of the paddle boarding whilst the younger ones played on the beach. The beach has a small bar which was very reasonably priced and had paddle boarding and water slides to hire which were also really good value. Life guards and first aiders are around and were really great with my husband who hurt his toe. Take your own towel/ bed as they don’t have sun beds to hire.

This is a very pretty beach with beautiful calm seas. Sandy, family friendly and well equipped with showers, toilets, 2 beach restaurants and the possibility of renting paddle boards and pedal boats with slides. Even on the busiest of days, it’s not as thronged as most resort beaches. 😊
