Perfect for a swim or a walk aroudn lake with lunch or as a base to hike up to the Malga Tuff Alm. Parking fee is reasonable. Also has a Kneipp walk, perfect for after that hike!

There is always something to do here. A great place for hiking, with a swim in the lake at the end, followed by a welcome beer .... In summer it's warm enough to swim in, with a couple of areas, planking or grass, to lay out your towel. There's a keep fit track, too. In winter it ices up, but you'll need to bring you own skates. You can park in car park a five-minute walk away, where you sometimes have to pay, sometimes not. It costs € 3 for the day. Or take a 30 minute stroll up from the village, better still! At the end of the lake there us a restaurant, in summer there is a cafe next to the swimming area. Otherwise take a 45-minute walk up to Tuff Alm (and sledge back down in winter).

A great place for skating if that's your thing, or for watching others skate if it's not! A truly idyllic setting.

It is considered one of the most attractive lakes in the South Tyrol. Ii is perfectly located at the foot of the Sciliar Massif, it is surrounded by woodlands and it is ideal for swimming, of course during Summer. During Winter, a part of the lake freezes and it is perfect for ice skating. I understand that this nice lake is not natural, but it was created in the XVIth century, by Leonhard von Vòls (Fiè) – Colonna, Captain of Tyrol, as a fishing lake. In the recent past years, we have been there twice, always during Winter Seasones, so we could enjoy nice walks around this lake, in the middle of a beautiful and relaxing nature.

During winter, people play hockey and go ice skating on the frozen waters of the lake. That was amazing! It is located inside a park with beautiful nature.
