If you don’t have too much time, it is possible to see the pottery in stores along the main road. When we visited the village (Oct 18), there was nobody showing their techniques. It is distinctive but not very refined and extremely heavy.

We got to see the potters making their pottery and an understanding of the history of the pottery. A good eye opener for the kids.

Even if you don't buy anything, it's interesting to see the artists at work in this lovely village. The approach there, with all the wandering pigs and cows amongst the fields of flowers and hills was stunning.

Pristine, beautiful Tibetan Village. Meeting in a studio of a master artist producing this unique form of pottery. We spent time with him and learned to create the pottery. Great local experience.
