We had a nice ride and great conversation with our guide Antonio. He was very informative about the history of the area and a pleasure to visit with. We did the longer bike tour which allowed us to get off the main roads and experience the beautiful, peaceful landscape.

We used Degenija Tours to transfer from Split to the Hotel Degenija and to Plitvice NP. We were pleasantly surprised by the luxury vehicles and friendly service all around.

Our guide Andy was terrific and the park is spectacular. We stayed at a hotel (Hotel Degenija - very nice - great restaurant) right outside the park so we could take a early morning tour before the day trip tours from Split got there. It was still a little crowded, but not near as bad as it got while we were finishing up our tour. It is a great place to visit, but try go early and not during the summer months as it can be very crowded.

This is an amazing trip. Antonio really knows the area, the history, and the best spot to take a group of bike-adventurers. Truly a one of a kind experience with a motivated person who wants you to have a great time. He made sure we got a nice ride in, while it was not challenging, it was some work. Perfect amount of effort to make you feel like you earned a nice beer when you get back. We did the bike tour after a day at plitvice, which was also absolutely incredible. The combination of two adventures made us feel like we really learned a lot about the area; both in terms of the tourism, and the people and life there.

We spent a great day with Antonio as our guide on this mountain bike tour around the countryside and to the caves. Antonio was very informative, pleasant and easy to be with. The cycling was enjoyable- a couple of hills that were manageable and some great downhill cycling past fields of corn and small villages. Some gravel/off road through forest and countryside. Lunch was supplied with a pleasant picnic near the Barac caves. The bikes were good quality and well maintained.
