Great people and fantastic fun. A two and a half trip down the river which is beautiful. Rapids not too scary and we stopped halfway down for a voluntary high jump into the river. Would definitely do again and recommend to others. The guides are great fun and the team on the raft were excellent.

We spent 3 nights in Split and hands down the best day was our boat trip with Open Waters! Alina was quick to reply and enthusiastic about helping us book a trip! We sailed to Brac, explored the island, ate a beautiful fresh seasonal local lunch prepared by the Skipper with plenty of local white wine at sea and slowly made our way back to Split just before sunset. It was perfect!! We can't wait to return to Croatia and continue exploring the Dalamatian Coast with Open Waters!!!

We didn't take a one day trip, but had rented a car and drove there by our self. it's a nice walk following the education path (4 km) on the way down to the waterfalls. The nature is stunning and the water in the bottom of the waterfall is chilly and full of fish, but if you go here, you need to go for a swim it's wonderful (remember beach shoes, there is a lot of rocks) we spend around 6 hours in the krka national park that was without taking a boat trip in the krka river (these trips is 2-3,5 hours depending of which one you decide to join)
Tis is a must visit if you're in Croatia, I LOVED this place.
Price to inter the national park is 100 kn per person and the boat trips inside is 100 kn for route 1, 130 for route 2 and I don't know about route 3

We went on a wonderful scuba diving session off the beach of Split. Not having much experience with diving was no problem at all. Alina as skilled dive master accompanied us. She is very professional and competent. Also the other members of the open water team we met were really nice and helpful.
We saw quite some marine wildlife on the dive. And Alina took many fine pictures.

We had a great experience with the company, travelling alongside another family on a speedboat to visit two islands. It was a super hot day so we decided to opt for a longer swim session which the boys loved. Relaxed atmosphere and enjoyable time - thank you!

Alina, Vladimir and the team at Open Water are the best I have ever used. They give a whole new meaning to the phrase "going the extra mile" for their customers.
Value for money is excellent - but most important the service you get is brilliant.
These guys REALLY care about their guests.
Communication by email in advance of our holiday in Croatia was great - with very quick replies and any changes needed made without fuss.
Communication while we were in Croatia was by email or sometimes by text - which again was really helpful. We booked several excursions - more below - and Alina would often text in the evening to confirm the pick up times for the next day's minibus travel. We had my pregnant daughter and two small children with us so the piece of mind coming from everything running smoothly was invaluable.
We were a large group (11 of us including very young children) and between us did the following trips:
Summer Blues Catamaran
- a fantastic day at sea and on the island of Hvar. Not suitable for very young children because of the design of the boat. Not cheap but actually very good value for what you get in travel, food, drinks and just the chance to swim in the sea in remote island bays not accessible by road. We worried that there might be a lot of drunk people on board because of the unlimited drinks policy but actually that wasn't a problem at all and the atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed with a real mix of ages and nationalities.
Trip to Krka Falls.
- a very well organised day with a great guide on the bus and a fun and smooth experience visiting the falls at Krka, the little town of Skradin and the ancient town of Sibenik. Krka falls themselves are worth seeing but please be aware that it is usually VERY crowded ! The pictures you see of people swimming in the lake below the falls are enticing - and it's certainly possible to do it - but be prepared to squeeze and wriggle your way into the water among about a thousand other swimmers. You also need to clamber over slippery and large rocks under water to get into the swimming area so might not suit older people very well. The walk around the paths behind the falls is worth while and spectacular. Consider taking a picnic because the bars and restaurants at the falls are priced for the captive audience they have and tend to be a bit expensive.
Sibenik is a nice town with a cool harbour front and if you walk right to the end of the quayside there's a little beach you can swim from with a bar and cafe attached.
Half day trip to Island of Brac
Open Water themselves own a high speed rib boat - skippered by Vladimir.
Seven of us had one of the best days ever when we booked an afternoon / early evening trip out to the island of Brac. We had the boat and skipper Vladimir to ourselves and could simply choose our plans to suit. Vladimir gave some recommendations so we headed for the bottom end of the island where there is a tiny remote bay with a Konoba (tavern) only accessible by sea. It was beyond blissful. We swam and snorkelled in the bay while a waiter trotted down the rocky path from the tavern with cold drinks and snacks. An hour or so later we were off again for a tour of special areas of the island with commentary and information from Vladimir and then another swim stop before home.
A day that will live long in all of our memories. Not cheap - but my goodness it was worth it.
Sea Bobs
Open water have two "sea bobs" ready for rent to use at the beach next to the office. These are fast moving electric powered little over and under water bobsleigh gadgets that look like they've come straight from a James Bond film. The older kids (and the more adventurous adults) used them several times and had great fun.
SUMMARY.
All in all I simply can't recommend the Open Water team highly enough. Literally nothing is too much to ask - and if they don't have what you want available then they go out of their way to source it for you.
Alina and Vladimir have built a great little business - and my goodness they work hard to keep their customers happy. I would give 12 out of 10 if I could and would recommend you use them without hesitation.

I am here at the resort a few weeks ahead of the season for a conference. I saw they had a dive shop and contacted them to see if I could dive. They were incredibly helpful and very quick to respond to emails. everything was sorted before I arrived.
As it was out of season we did a shore dive, and the conditions were not perfect (although as a diver from N Ireland I thought the temp was magic), a little cold and a little current. but the dive instructor discussed with me my ability and said he would make a decision during the dive. We dived a small wreck, full of young juvenille life, and then a gentle dive around a reef. we watched a display from a very pregnant electric eel and then saw one just a few hours old. Lion fish and possibly my favourite a stargazer that allowed us to follow here for quite some time. Two fantastic dives with an equally fantastic instructor / guide.
The dive centre is SSI, but accepted as expected my PADI certification, took safety seriously and provided the fun. YES I RECOMMEND THEM

We had a nice day together with the group. A bit disappointed that we didn't do more snorkling and that most of the time was spent on transport. We would have liked to enjoy the places more. It felt mostly like we went from one place to another without having time enough to relax and enjoy the different places. However, this is from our point of view. The guides were fantastic and we think it was a nice trip.

We have just returned from a one week holiday in Podstrana and during our stay we organised, diving, car hire and a sailing trip through Open Water. We had been in contact with Alina before we arrived in Podstrana asking lots of questions and arranging the various activities, so when we arrived Alina had everything organised for us exactly as we had anticipated. The sailing trip was excellent and thank you Vlado for taking us diving.
I would thoroughly recommend Open Water to anybody visiting Podstrana.

Hello,
I'm interested in the scuba diving for beginners - but for my 10-year-old son. Until where do kids have to be accompanied? To the diving Center or would I have to dive as well?
