About
Tucked between a rock wall and a hillside, deep inside a dense forest, gushes La Source. A place to relax, away from the bustle of daily life – surprising, and different.La Source Bains nordiques is located in Rawdon, in the Lanaudière region. Its eco-modern architecture was inspired by the bare rock of Mont Pontbriand, thus allowing us into the heart of the mountain.

View is incredible
Feb 2020
It started with a climb of I don’t know how many stairs but by the time I got up there I needed a good massage....very nice and clean place......people are very nice and cordial but you better not cough......the guards will be on your back......the food is great and service is good.....I got a great 90 min massage......But I think overall at the end of the day, thought it was very expensive.....

Anniversary treat!
Feb 2020 • Couples
Great spa with delicious food! My husband and I treated ourselves to the spa for our 2nd wedding anniversary and it was the most relaxing way to celebrate. The food was delicious especially the spring rolls and of course the cheesecake! Will definitely go back!

I would live there if i could :) Most probably the best spa in Canada. I never leave reviews anywhere but this spa deserves one.

Amazing day
Jan 2020
Great day here at the spa. Everything was wonderful - we enjoyed experiencing each of the baths and rooms. The dark room was particularly great. You really have to be silent though, but the staff were friendly enough when telling you to shush. Definitely recommend this experience.

Off the beaten path

I don't typically love going to spas, yet this one is my favorite. Why? Surrounded by nature, with mature trees, birds singing, and amenities that have been blended into the nature, almost as if they've always been there. There are hot whirlpools, cooling baths, a streaming, cold river to bathe in, steam room, dark room, realxation rooms, areas for meditation in the forest, rest areas, outdoor fire pits, and massage therapists on hand for nay needed treatment.
They also have a very good restaurant, with great local fare, wine and beer, all at reasonable prices. Given it was our anniversary, we went with the couples massage, access to all amenities, dinner included, and a small gift.
Looking for a spa that is not too crowded, and you blend in with nature? This is the spa for you

Amazing relaxing experience
Feb 2019 • Couples
We've been twice to la source spa with the distinction package.
First, the place itself is gorgeous and very clean and really cared for. We booked an earlier massage session as the place gets busier during the day. The message therapists were thorough and they focused on what we asked them to do.
The staff was so nice and professional and we felt valued and appreciated.
Again, to have a better, more relaxing experience, try to use the facilities earlier during the day to avoid the crowds.
I would definitely recommend this place and I would definitely recommend you get the distinction package as you'll get what you pay for.
Thank you for having us and keep up the good work.

Quiet place
Sep 2018 • Friends
This is the place to go to relax, hot spa and icy one’s are there for you to enjoy
The woods, fire place, dark room are just a few other things for you to relax.
The restaurant is amazing but a little expensive for what you get in your plate.
If you are the kind that’s always talking; better go there alone...we had one employee on our case; really anowing...And we were not disturbing!
In over all, I certainly will go back, bécasse one day isn’t enough!
I recommand!

Great Spa experience! You feel like your a part of nature.

I surprised my girlfriend with a spa package for our anniversary and the service and facilities were perfect. You feel a part of nature. I recommend taking the duo-massage outdoors on a rainy day! We were a little hesitant at first but it was an amazing experience! This place is in my top 3 spas in Quebec.

A stretched "average"
Apr 2018 • Couples
I always said will still say that your opinion of something strongly depends on your past experiences. Looking at previous reviews, I see many valid points as to why many people find this place absolutely great. However, I have visited several spa centers in the province, and based on those experiences I will say that La Source did not exceed the "average" mark for me.
The spas is nicely remotely located in the very nice town called Rawdon. My wife and I visited during the week, but I would imagine that the parking lot does get pretty busy during the weekends.
First strike was the booking process. In 2018, I am extremely surprised that the center does not have an online reservation system for massages or anything really. You absolutely have to call in order to reserve, which can be quite inconvenient. I understand that about 20 years ago we did not have the online option and everyone had to call, but we do now! So why not give your customers the option? I find that was a little backward. Speaking of backward, the lockers were key operated. I believe the first time I visited a spa, about 10 years ago, that center had already incorporated key-free touch bracelets that would lock and unlock the lockers. Key system is certainly outdated.
Strike two - on brochures and everywhere on the website it clearly says that no refunds nor cancellations will be accepted for massages or other treatments within the 48 hours prior to the treatment. Fair enough. However, nowhere does it say about modifying your reservation. Needless to say that any modifications within 48 hours prior to the treatment are not accepted either. I was coldly informed of this on the phone a day prior to my reservation. Once again, none of this is mentioned on the brochure or the website.
Strike three - every spa offers bathrobes for a certain fee that you can rent out for the day. La Source is the first center in my experience, which refused to exchange the bathrobe mid day. Essentially, if your bathrobe is wet - well, too bad, here are some towels.
That leads me to say that my overall customer service experience here has been below the standard. Quebec is known for not going above and beyond in terms of customer service like the US, but I do feel that certain criteria should be met. The customer service representatives, whether it's by the phone or the front desk should be much warmer and should provide a feeling of some kind of human contact. It seemed that a touchscreen could have replaced the front desk employees, since all they did was just spit out the information, follow the guidelines, and well, that's about it.

Now that my rant regarding the negative aspects is over, I will go to the positives.

The spa is indeed a quiet spot. Despite all the hot tubs set at the same temperature (unlike Nordik in Chelsea, for example), they are well designed. There are three hot tubs on the premises. There is one dry and one wet sauna. The dry sauna is spacious and does the trick. The wet spa was way too dark for my liking, and I even felt slightly claustrophobic in the beginning, but just like the dry sauna - it does the trick.
The relaxation rooms were pleasant, but there was nothing special about them. The exception to that was the "Dark Room", which was a unique experience, but quite odd in my opinion. The room consists of 10 or 12 semi-recklined wooden rocking Adirondack-like chairs (5 or 6 on each side facing each other) submerged in complete darkness with some black decorations. The room is supposed to promote complete relaxation and probably a nap or two, but I found the music to be not subtle enough to relax. I am also not sure how I feel about complete darkness and awkwardly shaped semi-reclined chairs.
The best part of our visit was the food. The menu is very extensive for a spa center, and the quality was on point. Both meals were absolutely outstanding. My compliments to the chef. Essentially, the only reason I did not give La Source 2 stars was the restaurant.

Overall, for tourists and not picky visitors, this is worth a visit. However, if you have been to places like Bromont Spa, Nordik Spa, Siberia Spa Station, etc., this will be a disappointment. This center really NEEDS to step up its game in terms of renovations, website and customer service.
