Nice food, park suitable for all children. Splash pad and boat rides. Best park in Wales
Oct 2021 • Family
The best park in South Wales! We moved over to Aberdare because of this park, it has boat rides and a nice cafe on the lakeside. A very nice children’s play park with a spiders web and a zip line. There are slides and things for all ages.

More recently there is a splash pad in the summer. Like I said, it’s the best, and I think it’s the best in Wales.

such a beautiful and well kept park and garden.
I have never seen a park so clean in such a long time. The employees there have really worked hard to make this so great.
The shop has a variety of food/drinks/ice creams too and very polite.
There are lots of spots to view and there is an area to feed to ducks.
I swear I saw large fish in the water too
You can park at Dare Valley Park and enjoy the walk down past a waterfull

Aberdare Park - Spoilt by Dog Sh!t
May 2021 • Friends
Fabulous park spoilt by a minority of moronic muppets who let their dogs sh!t and don’t clean it up ! Really don’t understand why dogs are allowed in the park full stop as the country park is more suitable ! The council should ban dogs full stop !
This tends to happen when it’s raining as not many people around which proves the tw@ts know exactly what they’re doing !

Picnic in the park
Sep 2020 • Family
Due to travel restrictions we have been trying to go on local day trips making the most of what we have on our doorstep whilst supporting local businesses. We popped to Tescos and got an assortment of preprepared picnic food (sandwiches, sausage rolls, crisps, cup cakes, chicken legs and so on as well as paper plates and cups). We arrived at the park on a beautiful sunny day and we were amazed by the setting of the park. Everyone was spread out and most people were wearing masks and using hand sanitiser when needed. This is a great place for everyone and there is a lovely lake (full of ducks and other birds), tennis courts and a great play ground. We had a cup of coffee at the onsite cafe before heading into Aberdare for some retail therapy. We would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy the great outside.

A beautiful park!
Feb 2019 • Friends
I’ve only visited Aberdare park during the autumn, so I’m yet to see it in full bloom during the spring and summer months. Despite this it’s still beautiful even during the autumn, and still worth a visit, no matter what time of the year. One of the main things I loved about this place was all the wildlife around, squirrels, geese... It’s a peaceful place, though I have no idea if it’s the same during the warmer months! I’m definitely looking forward to visiting again soon. Recommended to all who may be in or visiting the area.

The park.......
Dec 2019
The jewel in the crown of the Cynon Valley! Every visit of every month is different; from constantly changing weather patterns affecting the visibilty and colours of the surrounding hills, to the colours on the trees in the park and the resident wildlife; squirrels, ducks, geese etc. Just under a mile on the perimeter pathway, the amenities of the park comprise of a bowling green, tennis courts, a boating lake with lakeside cafe which does hot and cold food, small arboretum, and a magnificent play area for the kids. And then there is the open space; acres of greenery populated with well established trees and formal rose gardens rolling away into the distance and seeming to merge with the backdrop of the distant hills. A haven of peace and tranquility at any time of year, and we are blessed with living less than two minutes walk from it.

Beautiful park and great biker racing
Jul 2019 • Couples
This is a small little known road race. Which is a shame the park is quite large with a vintage cafe and bandstand it has some lovely feature and without it is a small circuit 0.9 miles it's a great day
We weren't disappointed. Will definitely be visiting with friends.

Such a beautiful park, really liked it here. It has a lovely kids playground with lots to do, a beautiful lake with lots of ducks and lots of space and beautiful trees! Nice having a cafe there, and you can rent swan or dragon boats to pedal around the lake too!
