There is not much to do in Pakse and the market gives you an hour or two to be explored. It's really huge , bustling and as local as it can get. You can buy anything from fruit and live ducks to fake gucci'es etc I love the food courts in Asian markets and this one was really exceptional with its wide choice. I chose it over my 4* hotel breakfast both mornings and couldn't have been happier. …

We stayed closer to this place. So we just walked around to see if we could buy anything. Everything is there. It may be expensive for tourists. Need to bargain. People are friendly. Everyone is peaceful in their own way. No fear of any robbery etc. You can walk around safely.

Great fresh food market to get that local feeling but there is also a covered market next to it All the usual clothes bags fishing nets etc . However did find a ladies hairdresser just behind the jewellery section- great cut - esp as the ladies in Asia often don’t go for short hair - hair wash with head massage- then shoulder massage all for 50000 kip- Bonus …
