We so enjoyed our ice sculpting evening at Copperhill Hotel with Alexander! Alexander is so very organized and helpful. We each had a huge block of ice and a beautiful set of tools with which to create our sculptures. As we carved, Alexander prepared a roaring fire and made hot chocolate and delicious buns. What first appeared an impossible task (how could we possibly create anything from this block of ice!) ended up being almost therapeutic! The children (teenagers!) were thrilled with their creations - which appeared even more glorious once illuminated with colored lights and then polished with a blowtorch! Thank you, Alexander - we cannot wait to return to Åre and do more of your adventures!

We went to Åre on a company trip and booked five activities with Explore Åre (snowquad night tour, largest waterfall in Sweden, dogsledding, feed the reindeer and icefishing). Our guide Bea was very skilled and friendly and our team had a very good time! We all thought it was very interesting that we also learned about the nature and the wildlife in the area. The coffee and snacks by the campfire were also a very nice addition to the activities! Overall a lovely experience!

Absolutely wonderful. Our two guides were so knowledgeable and so friendly - they really made the experience very special. Great introductory talk and lots of help throughout. Loved getting to trek using snowshoes for the first time (not as strenuous as I had feared) The hillsides and forest by moonlight were breathtakingly beautiful. I also loved our stop at the shelter with a wood fire and a very welcome late-night supper (first time I'd eaten reindeer - very tasty! And my husband loved the blueberry soup) And then WOW!!! 'Magnetic Midnight' - around 11pm - brought nature's stunning light show. Our delight knew no bounds as a gorgeous green glow twisted and flickered across the whole sky (we had been careful not to get our hopes up toooo much, just in case - especially as it had been very cloudy earlier in the day - so we felt very lucky indeed!). The trek alone would have left us very happy, but to get to see such a long and beautiful display meant that this truly was a lifetime highlight

We booked a snow quad trip directly through the company, service from start to finish was brilliant. They originally explained they were booked on the day we wanted but after explaining it was one of our birthdays they got an extra rep in especially for us which was very much appreciated. Trip was great, the time flew by. Driving on the lake in the dark was really pretty. We stopped to make a fire and for pastries and hot chocolate whilst sat in the forest in the snow it was a very unique experience I would definitely recommend.

Caroline took us on the best trek we could hope for, even though the Northern Lights did not appear. Hiking in the snow, learning about the lights and the history of the area with Caroline, ending with a fire in the warming hut and some tasty snacks, was a perfect night!

Great to hear you liked the activity, although we did not see the northern light during your tour. Hope to see you in the future again and that we will have better luck with the aurora!

Best trip ever. A really nice trip with great guides. Lovely walk in moonlight on untouched snow on snowshoes and then reindeer sandwich round fire while waiting for the northern lights to show which luckily they did. Fantastic

Our guide was amazing, bringing us to pet, feed, and learn about the reindeer and providing a personalized cultural experience for my friends and I during our first time in Sweden.

I'm a retired girl and decided to be adventurous and went for a hang-gliding tandem flight with Skysport at Draklanda in Are. Wonderful patient and kind people and an amazing adventure for me. I'm writing this a day later and I'm still grinning about it. There's so much to do and see around here if I could give more than a five I would have.

Thank your for your review, but I think it was meant for the company Skysport (even though we also book their tandemjumps for our guests). Anyway, great to hear you like Åre and all the activities around here.

Hi Arie! Åre is the place where we live so this is the place we know best (and we also love Åre at summer), but we can recommend to drive through the "inland roads" (road E45) up here and to stop somewhere in the areas around Lake Siljan. Leksand, Rättvik or Orsa is nice places.
Have a nice ride and hope to se you in Åre next summer.
