Good view of the lake as it is on a hill top. There's good scenery and shopping for souvenirs. The yogurt drink is delicious!

This place is nothing but a rest area (or Parking in Japan) along the Lake Toya route. Panoramic view of the lake and souvenirs. There was a seaweed booth for those who enjoy the taste of Japan.

The observatory is just a small souvenir shop on an elevated ground. It does provide a good view of Lake Toya, but if you stay in a hotel besides it, I believe you have view the lake more than enough. I personally believe this location is just a main tourist attraction to make you buy more goods than anything else.

The restaurant is located on 2/F above the shop without a lift, so not a wheelchair friendly place. The location is between the lake and Otaru, so... More

Excellent view of Lake Toya. There is also a large souvenir shop and toilets, so definitely worth a stop when passing by. Lots of kids playing with the photo op moments (stuffed bears and such).

This place is a wonderful place to view Lake Toya. I took several photos there and most of them are awesome.
