Pleasant little trip!

Took a ride on this boat which stopped at the big island of Nakajima, quick 30min stop which is more than enough if you are not hiking or swimming. Water was crystal clear, some tourists had left rubbish on the little beach which was annoying.
Nice enough trip around the lake, although if you are afraid of birds I would avoid as other tourists like feeding the seagulls crisps, so they surround the boat! They are quite noisy so not really a relaxing trip!

Got a hotel coupon for 1280 instead of 1420 basically took us and made a trip circling the center island in toya lake it was foggy visibility wasn't good

This is an interesting and quirky cruise around the lake. We went on the castle boat. Because it was winter we didn't stop at the island. It's fun.

Short lake ride

We basically had a ride around the lake. I was under the impression that we will be stopping in the island in the middle of the lake, but we didn't even get any where near it. Instead the boat just went towards the island, made a U-turn and we were back on the shores. It claims to be 40 minutes but felt shorter than that.

We visited the place in July 2016. We purchased ticket from the counter at jetty, they only accept cash payment. It's took about 20 minutes to reach the middle island. We enjoyed feeding the seagull on the ferry. There is convenience shop and paid museum in the island. Due to time constrain, we did not finish the jungle trekking. But generally it's quite windy and not so hot in summer time.
