Lots of steps down, but the carvings inside this rock cut church are worth seeing. Ensure you have the correct entrance fee in coins as the attendant does not have much change for notes.

It’s in an odd location by a rather seedy beach, and the cave is reached via a lot of steps. Inside it’s visually stunning, hundreds of stone statues, some very old, some not, in a grotto like space. It’s rather small so a brief visit...More

Unique place to visit... definitely get a little tourist taxi to see it as its a long walk. Bit uneven so watch your footing.

A unique underground cave full of carved statues. It dates from C17th when some sailors from Naples survived a shipwreck. They started the statues as a way of giving thanks. It has been added to over the years & turned into a church. There are...More

We enjoyed this spot it was really cool and worth the ticket price. We've seen churches all over Europe and this one is truly unique. If you're in the area it's worth the short visit.

Not so many little churches are made in the rocks. Very small, entree fee of 3,5 euro is ok, but it would be more acceptable if they would use a part of this money to keep this church in better stage!

This was our last stop on the way to the airport at the end of our vacation. What a great way to end the trip. Catch the Tuk-Tuk in Centro Storico and visit this very unique location. We were in awe at the carvings in...More

The cave itself was pretty amazing, the story and lore behind it makes it even more so. We visited with 2 kids ages one and four. The four year old tripped on the slippery steps and we had to carry the small one the whole...More
