Didier Sibani began his interest in Tahitian Black Pearls working alongside...

Didier Sibani began his interest in Tahitian Black Pearls working alongside Coco Chaze on the atoll of Manihi in the Tuamotu Archipelago. In 1973, Sibani established himself as one of the pioneers of the Tahitian Pearl Industry. By 2001, the SIBANI Pearls group has grown to 69 boutiques around the world. At the heart of the Polynesian South Pacific, lies our flagship retail store in Vaitape, Bora Bora.

We create a local and comfortable atmosphere through our bamboo decor and friendly professional staff, whom are well educated in the history and value of the Tahitian Black Pearls. We pride ourselves in educating our clientele about every bit of the production process concerning the cultured pearl.

Our selection includes an overwhelming variety of pearls in all shapes, sizes and grades. Matched with pendants, earrings, and necklaces of silver or gold, we assist our clients to find their unique pearls, to highlight their unique persona.

Open from 9am to 6pm Monday through Saturday. Closed Sundays.

Mr Sibani gave a very informative and interesting talk on the quality of beautiful Tahitian pearls. The talk explained the various factors in the grading of pearls with a power point presentation and beautiful strings of top quality pearls illustrating lustre and the various colours. All Sibani pearls are certified and meet government standards. At the Sibani retail outlet on... More

Dear Annejs, In a tourist place it's really important to get all the information on the pearl and jewels "before" you choose and spend a lot of money. Please never forget that we are in a tourist place and what we can hear in many different jewelry shops is not automatically the true. Some sellers do not know nothing about... More

UPDATED REVIEW: Mr. Sibani and his beautiful daughter Yuriko visited us onboard the WINDSTAR Vessel WindSpirit, while in port at Bora Bora on July 6th, on the proper selection and purchase of quality Tahitian pearls. When I saw the spectacular necklace Yuriko was wearing, I knew I had to have one like it. It was a 3-Pearl ensemble on a... More

We enjoyed spending some time in Sibani Perles. Sibani was in town at that time and we learned a great deal about the industry from him. Prices at the store seemed reasonable compared with other locations of comparable quality. We enjoyed the experience and the earrings we picked up. Thank you.

We were lucky enough to meet Didier Sibani during out stay in Bora Bora, where we sat through his presentation about Tahitian pearls. It was instantly clear that Sibani Pearls would not disappoint. Didier was the pioneer of the Tahitian pearl market and his extensive knowledge was clear, but more importantly, he is a genuine and trustworthy guy. Never once... More

Dear guest, How to remain honest in a dishonest world DISHONESTY is commonplace and specialy in tourist places. Everywhere, people lie, they steal, we do pay too much, you do not repay its debts and boasts of unfair trade practices. We are often exposed to situations that are challenging our determination to remain honest. How to resist ambient dishonesty? As... More

We were fortunate enough to find Didier Sibani doing some maintenance in his shop in Bora Bora on the Sunday we were there, and although he was officially closed, he was happy to spend time showing us some pearls, as we were leaving the next morning. His pearls are absolutely beautiful and his prices are good..

Dear Guest Ia orana, Thanks for your nice message on Trip Advisor. It's normal for me to open the shop if one of our visitor need to buy a Pearl souvenir and leave French Polynesia the next day. It's our duty and anyway on Sunday we have nothing more important to please our guests. Thanks again and best regards More

Didier Sibani visited our Windstar Cruise while we were docked in Bora Bora. He gave such an outstanding presentation on his pearl farm. It was fascinating to hear of his pearl farm operations and to learn the process behind farming pearls. It was obvious that he was a pearl master and I felt trust due to his lifelong passion for... No hard sell here. Sibani provided a lecture on pearls for our cruise. He's so passionate about the difficult process of growing and harvesting high quality pearls that he never made a sales pitch. But a key point he made is that the most significant quality attribute of a Tahitian pearl is one that you cannot see - the thickness... More

My wife and I were touring French Polynesia aboard the Windstar and saw on several islands "pearls" for sale in dramatically different price ranges. We were so thankful we waited to learn about pearls from... More
