So sorry to Lagoon Service for this much over due review. October 2016 we celebrated my husband's 50th birthday in Bora Bora. As a special surprise I contacted Lagoon Service to plan an amazing birthday celebration. We were first picked up by our guide Ray for a beautiful private sunset cruise. As we sipped on rum punch and watched the sun sink below the water's edge we were serenaded by Ray as he played the ukulele. As we made our way to a private moto where we were greeted by Tahitian musicians and dancers. Next we had a delicious multiple course dinner served to us at the end of a pier under a gazebo on a candle lit white clothed table. After candles and birthday cake a traditionally dressed savage dancer came and took us back to the beach where the musicians, Tahitian dancers and fire dancers performed an amazing private show! It was seriously one of the best cultural performances we have seen. Under the star lit sky, Ray returned us to Moto Ahuna where we were staying. I have to say that Lagoon Service was a pleasure to work with and very professional. The performers we unbelievable and actual are the same performers who are hired by many of the hotels. My husband and our friends who joined us were all blown away. You know that you were a part of something special when for years after that moment sticks with you and is brought up in conversation over and over again. Thank you Lagoon Service....I highly recommend your services!

My wife and I did the Lagoon Services tour with a large group spread out over several boats. Our tour guide was Nui and he was awesome. They started the day by picking up at the Four Seasons and we headed out from there. Each boat took a little bit different path so we weren't all in the same place at the same time. Nui was very entertaining playing music and singing for us as we traveled between the different stops. We saw tons of fish, Sharks and Stingrays. On this particular day in October we were able to even catch a glimpse of some whales which was a sight to behold.

I would recommend taking this excursion and I would ask for Nui to be your guide if at all possible.

My wife, daughter and I were connected to Lagoon Service by our concierge at the Conrad Hotel. We were told they were the best snorkeling service in Bora Bora, and I am sure that is true.

Our guide, Nico, was a warm, personable, knowledgeable lead who not only took great care of us, but also provided a lot of local knowledge that made the excursion rewarding on many levels. He gave us a tour of the entire area, helped make sure we saw some great spots and aquatic life, and also gave us a history lesson that made the area much more interesting. He also has a great sense of humor (in several languages) and has plays a mean ukulele. I especially enjoyed hearing some of the interesting WW II background of the island

He also made sure we were able to have three very different experiences - we swam with sharks, saw some stingrays, and saw some beautiful coral. And at the same time, made sure we were safe, happy, and even took our camera into the deep to make sure we got some good pictures of some of the rare creatures of the area.

We were lucky to be introduced to Nick and the team, and very appreciative of the experience.

My husband and I had such a wonderful day on a full day lagoon tour snorkeling trip. Niko our guide was the best-lots of fun and personality and gave us lots of information. He made sure everyone in the water saw all the highlights (a cautious moray eel) and the stingrays were literally hugging him two at a time!
We were thrilled to swim with the stingrays and sharks, definitely wary of the 9ft lemon shark but all survived.
Lunch also was great on the motu with lots of time to relax and enjoy the ukulele music, swim, and learn how to weave a plate, husk a coconut.
Niko gave us a bonus stop on the return with a swim in beautiful shallow turquoise sandy spot gazing at the mountain. I can’t wait to do this trip again! Thank you Niko for such a memorable day!

We brought our kids (young adults) on this trip to Bora Bora and wanted to share the Lagoon Service experience we had three years ago. They are still fantastic!!!!!

The day has three snorkeling stops consisting of the coral gardens, stingrays, and the sharks with lunch at the motu after. Lagoon Service does not disappoint!!! Our day with Tim started out with a pick up at our hotel as promised (they even called our hotel the day before to confirm with us) then on from there with 6 other guests.

Super fun, traditional Bora Bora experience, and professional. We loved our guide Tim who provided us with a perfect day. All the other guides at the motu make the experience perfect too. Lunch is fun and all together, just a fine day!!!!

Niko picked us up from our resort on time, the boat was clean and we'll equiped. A run down of the day was given with humour and Niko shared some of the history of the island. He was knowledgeable and interesting. First stop was full of sharks and super friendly sting rays. We were invited to travel on the bow, which visitors took turns doing, it was really lovely sitting in the sun with the blue sky, turquoise waters and gentle breeze keeping us cool. The second stop was a coral reef that had an abundance and great variety of fish life. Surpringly no turtles though. The third stop had copious amounts of reef sharks and many lemon sharks which we were very up close and personal with. It was a fabulous experience swimming and snorkeling with so many sharks in one place. The fourth
stop was for a walk on the white sands in clear shallow water where we shared fruit and coconut bread. Niko played the ukulele and sang traditional polonesian songs. He was dressed in traditional clothing and made the trip feel like a little slice of Polonesian heaven, rather than just a tourist attraction. Highly recommend this trip, it was one of the highlights of our visit to Bora Bora.

My wife and I did the full day tour. The other six people on the tour cancelled so we basically got a private tour. After being picked up from our hotel, we did our first swim. The coral and sea life there was amazing. The snorkel gear is provided and was in good shape. We met up with two other boats and started the circle path for the two. The guide knew the area and would call our things like clams and sea horses.

The second dive was to see the sting rays. A male and female were in the area and spent time interacting with us. The water there was shallow enough to stand (about 5 feet deep) and all of Bora Bora is protected by a barrier reef so there is very little waves.

I could tell they were getting weather updates so we went to a different place than normal to see the sharks. There were mostly black tip ones there but some rays did join us as well. The water there we so clear and provided great opportunities for pictures.

After that, we boated to their private island and had lunch. After lunch, we saw baby sharks, learned how to use the plants on the island for material and opened a coconut with a stick. I know other reviews lament about not getting more snorkeling time but this is exactly what they mention in the brochure and it was nice to learn a little about the culture.

As a side note, the original day we booked was cancelled due to bad weather but they moved us to the next day without issue and worked with the hotel to make that a smooth process so we were not waiting for them.

This was an amazing time. From the moment that we were picked up, we were entertained. Playing the ukulele and singing just added to the experience. The sting ray encounter was magical as there was a ton a rays around and we got to hold them, it was great. What really made that day was going out beyond the reef to swim with the sharks. You are in nothing but the bluest, yet clearest water you have ever seen and there is nothing but 40+ feet between you and the ocean floor and you are surrounded by fishes, scuba divers and 100+ sharks. I wish that we could have stayed there the entire day because it was just that magical. Diving down and looking up to see sharks swim above you was a once in a lifetime kind of thing that I would highly recommend. Afterwards, we went to a coral garden and got to swim around and see all the different types of coral and fish all while being careful not to damage the coral itself. It was an amazing tour that everyone should ant to enjoy. I will definitely want to do this again if we come back, I already told my wife

My wife and I went on a tour today with one of the finest snorkeling guides we have ever encountered, and we have snorkeled extensively. Ramon was knowledgeable, articulate, accommodating, entertaining and most of all safety-conscious. He clearly loves what he does and loves sharing information about Bora Bora and the sea life that abounds in its beautiful waters. His stories, songs and joie d’ vie made for an exceptional day. Very important for us, Ramon’s command of English was very good.

Thank you for providing such an an excellent experience on our first visit to Bora Bora. Today was a memory we will cherish.

Our best regards and many thanks to Ramon.

I am not really fond of animals who can eat me and seeing Jaws at age 12 definitely made an impression but I figured it was mind over matter and it was an experience of a lifetime! Our tour guide Toarou (spelling?) was a true islander and a tremendous character. While driving his outrigger with his feet he would be strumming the ukulele or making palm frond hats. Our first stop was swimming with the sharks and while everyone was very gung-ho on the boat ride over once you get to the reef and see those sharks the second thoughts start to flood your brain. This stop was the highlight of our trip and truly amazing! You are immersed in a group of 30 to 40 black tipped reef sharks and they do like to get up close and personal. They measure 6 to 8 feet and seem a lot bigger than that. One word: AWESOME!!!
Other stops included a swim around some of the most beautiful coral I have ever seen and the wildlife was beautiful (giant blue sea class anyone).
Next we swam with three giant rays and had a pair of curios black tips join the party (10 footers this time). The rays are debarbed and are used to humans so a hug and a kiss is not out of the question!
Our last stop was lunch on a motu (island). Local dishes were mixed in with chicken, steak and swordfish including cole slaw with tuna fish (try the pumpkin and coconut milk pudding - strangely delicious). A coconut opening demo was thrown in for good measure and actually really interesting.
I have run out of adjectives to describe how great this excursion was and in my opinion at $152 per person it is the best value on the island. If you travel all the way to Bora Bora this is a must do!
