We actually had so much fun with Matu on the first excursion we ended up going again with Michael and had a great time. They were great with my teenage daughters and they showed us on our stop how to shuck coconuts and we had so much fun with them.
Their equipment was excellent and well maintained. We booked it through our hotel concierge at the intercontinental bora bora thalasso. I highly recommended them.

The screaming was from my wife who was clamped to my swim vest as we followed Kevin of Moana Adventure tours around the island of BoraBora. At 76 years of age this was our first extended jet ski adventure. We found keeping up with Nick and the younger members of our party a bit of a challenge specially as we careened over ocean swells and wakes created by large boats. Even after 54 years of marriage I learned that my wife’s vocabulary was quite a bit more extensive than I realized. The tour was a very exciting morning with welcome breaks for a little shallow water swimming and a coconut “how to”session in which Kevin showed us how to crack open a coconut and extra both the water and the milk. The adventure was strenuous for us older folks but I’d definitely do it again perhaps after the divorce.

Picked up from our hotel pier and transferred to the meeting point across the bay. Introduced to our amazing guide Nico (5 Stars). No delay. Well maintained equipment and life jackets. Onto our jet skis and off we went (at high speed). Beautiful scenery and strategically planned stops to make the most of the surroundings. Stopped on a private island for a photo op, coconut cutting display and short walk to the reef. Then back onto the jet skis for the trip back home.
Recommend reef shoes for the stops and walk to the reef.

My two sons booked a jet ski ride at the InterContinental Le Moana. A guy showed up (the company manager according to the girl at the hotel's activity center) and took them to the ride without saying a single word about safety precautions. During the ride they fell to the water and their $400 each prescription glasses sank and lost. The guy just didn't care - he told the girl from the hotel's activity center that "It happened because it was a windy day".
REALLY??? If it was windy then why didn't say a single warning word? Why didn't you at least suggest securing the glasses with a neck lanyard strap?
But after reading here in TripAdvisor the review from October 18 2015, I'm not surprised at all:
"With one ski and 3 people we are forced to sit three deep on one jet ski as the guy blasts across the lagoon to the Intercontinental. It had been raining for most of the day and the lagoon was fairly rough but that did not stop the guy from plowing through the waves with 2 guests on the ski".
3 persons (grown ups) on one jet????
I've goggled TripAdvisor and came up with this answer (in "Miami Jet Ski Questions & Answers"):
https://www.tripadvisor.com/FAQ_Answers-g34438-d1600356-t1836504-Can_3_people_ride_on_Jet_Ski.html
"No, three people are not allowed to run for safety purpose. The maximum number of people allow to ride is 2".
So beware of this company! They don't care much about safety!

We were staying at the Four Seasons and the tour organizer said they would come pick us up as the tour departed from the Intercontinental. My wife and I had rented two jet skis for the tour. A little after the scheduled pick up time a guy on a jet ski shows up. With one ski and 3 people we are forced to sit three deep on one jet ski as the guy blasts across the lagoon to the Intercontinental. It had been raining for most of the day and the lagoon was fairly rough but that did not stop the guy from plowing through the waves with 2 guests on the ski. Strike 1
The tour begins with my wife and I each on our own ski with another couple sharing a ski. I am not sure if the other couple was inexperienced or they were getting pounded in the rough water but the tour commenced with riding for 10 or 15 minutes and then stopping and waiting for the guide to go back and catch the other couple up with the group. After 45 minutes we stop at a shallow section of water and sit around for 15 minutes as a break. Mind you we paid $350 for this 2 hour trip so the length of this break seemed excessive. Strike 2
We then saddle up and ride 15 minutes to the second break stop. There is where we stop for 30 minutes for the coconut demonstration. 30 minutes of a 2 hour tour! Included in this 30 minutes was watching the guide open a coconut and harass a large blue crab they had found by the shore. At this point we had met up with another small group so there were around 6 couples. You then get to sit through the guides pushing each male guest to go through the process of opening a coconut. So even though you're paying good money for a jet ski tour you are getting to watch random strangers struggle with opening coconuts. Oh the entertainment value! Strike 3
So in conclusion, our 2 hour jet ski tour broke down to 75 minutes of riding with 45 minutes of "breaks" and coconut shows.
I would not recommend this tour.

If you think you are going to be riding a jet ski for the better part of 2 hours you are in for a surprise. My experience was more like 30 min of jet ski riding and 1.5 hours of waiting for my guide to find coconuts and then trying to open them has he mocked us. Our guide was kind of a jerk from the start which didn't help. He kept saying. "Have you done this before? Ok me too this is also my first time." This was are only bad experience of the trip. Way to expensive for what you get.

What an amazing trip, we had a fabulous guide with just my husband and myself. We saw the whole island, as it happens both by road and by water. This is just an amazing thing to do, and so exciting, the waters are unbelievably clear and the moto that we stopped on was stunning and everything you imagine an island in the south pacific to be. We ate and drank from freshly picked coconut, which was cool and our guide made a basket for our coconut out of leaves. We were cruising through the south pacific and the trip was the highlight of our cruise. Fabulous!!! Thank you.

It was a fantastic experience! We had so much fun with our guide Antoine who showed us Bora Bora from the Jetski. It was just my husband and I, and our guide. He also took us to a private small island where we had a coconut demonstration.
I would recomend everyone to go on this trip:)

When we finally got to go on our trip of a lifetime, i knew i wanted to go jetskiing in Bora Bora. Our staff at the hotel made the reservations for us. Our jet ski guide arrived on time, showed us the ropes and us and 2 other couples took off. I drove first, while i was screaming in joy cause not sure how to drive my husband clung on to me. After i got the hang of it, it was smooth sailing. we stopped after a while and switched drivers, took pictures etc. then took off again. Then we stopped at the little island where they filmed couples retreat and our guide showed us how to open a coconut. I got to drive again, we took the other couples back to their hotel, then we were alone with the guide.I didn't want it to end. I felt the need for speed. To be able to do that in the most beautiful place in the world is so absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend it. Can't wait to go back. :)

How deep is the water on the tour? I am not an experienced swimmer and have anxiety about water. I realize I will be wearing a life jacket but just wondering if anyone has done this tour and can give me an idea of how deep the water is. Thanks!
Written December 13, 2018
Most of the time, maybe 6-10 feet but there are deep sections too. You won’t be looking down, you will be smiling ear to ear. My 12 year old REALLY hates deep water and loved every second.

Honestly unless she is very adventurous and likes speed & bumps, then yeah she'll probably struggle a bit. You get up to a decent speed and there are still waves inside the atol. Even as a passenger it's a bumpy ride. If she's into horse riding or similar she's probably be happy though.
