We went with Yael who was fantastic. He made sure are equipment was on correctly and we knew how to use it. Yael then took us on a magical underwater tour of the Bora Bora lagoon. It was great and we cannot recommend Pure Snorkeling high enough. We circled the entire island stopping several times to view the beautiful fish and coral. The ray's we saw were amazing. Best excursion we did during our visit.

We booked a private boat for morning snorkeling. Reef Discovery is a very well run organization, including responding to inquiries and booking online. “Arrow” was our captain. He was excellent. He brought us to four unique locations around the island. We both saw and learned a lot. He made the excursion a lot of fun. The boat was very good, allowing us to quickly move around the island. We couldn’t have asked for a better morning. We also booked a private boat with Moana Adventure Tours. They were equally good.

We went whale watching on a private boat with my boyfriend. Wow this was the most life changing experience of my life! Im Obsessed with whales and go to whale watching tours often (Mexico, Hawaii, Sam Diego), but this was the best and even better on top of that! We not only saw a lot of whales, the jumping up, playing in the water, but also snorkeled with mama and baby and then mama, baby and male escort! I’m still processing… it was an unbelievable experience! Kevin and Manu were amazing guides, they were as excited to see whales if not more than us, even though they do it every day. Just wow, highly recommend them, so knowledgeable, positive, outgoing and friendly! I’ll do it again for sure!!

Our experience snorkeling was beautiful. My husband and I are both novices, but we saw amazing sea life...rays, corals, multiple colorful fish, Moray Eel....Such a peaceful experience and our guide made us both feel safe and comfortable.

Our half day tour included the “aquarium”, rays, and a coral area, plus a bonus swim with more rays. It was splendid. Our guide, Diego, was knowledgeable and very professional and friendly. He enhanced the tour greatly. The boat was fast and comfortable. There were drinks, fresh fruit, and wonderful coconut bread. This was a great experience and none of the small group wanted the tour to end. Highest recommendation.

Spent the day yesterday snorkelling around the island and had the best time. Our guide Arrow was super enthusiastic and really made an effort to ensure we had a great experience. He went out of his way for us to make sure we saw as much sealife as possible. Our group was very lucky and saw a ton of rays, fish and even dolphins. We had the best time! Thank you Arrow!

Fabien took us on one of the best snorkeling adventures we’ve ever been on in our lives. In the span of a few hours we swam with manta rays, reef sharks, stone fish and other amazing underwater creatures. The weather alternated between sun and rain and with Mt Otemanu in the fog at times it felt like you were snorkeling in Jurassic Park. 11/10

This was our fourth visit to Bora Bora and my FIFTH time snorkeling with Reef Discovery because the tour is pitch perfect. This time did not disappoint. We have, until now, traveled with Fabien. This time, with Yael. He was also a wonderful captain and guide. We saw everything we hoped to see and look forward to returning and doing this again and again.

I booked a private half day snorkeling tour for my wife and I and Fabien was our guide and Captain. Fabien was extremely knowledgeable of the reefs and sea life and snorkeled with us wherever we went. At one particular snorkel location we saw more fish then we had seen anywhere else in the world! As soon as we got in the water we were simply surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of gorgeous tropical life! We saw Fabien playing with a 6’ moray eel! Thats twice as big as any other one Id ever seen! Bora Bora’s reefs are unbelievable! It was nice having a skilled guide and a fast boat available to experience them! Highly recommend.

Our driver Coco was AMAZING!!! He showed us incredible coral. There’s a place on the sea floor that says, “I love Bora Bora”. They had this neat underwater bubble trick that was unlike anything I’ve seen.

I saw a recent review where the guide gave the guests bread to feed the fish. I wanted to use this company because i thought they did not do that. Just wondering what people’s recent experiences have been. Thank you.

To answer your question, we do not feed the fishes with fishes (as do most of companies here), it happens sometimes that we gave a little bit of bread to attract them but it is rare.

Many thanks for your question!
We do various snorkeling stops around Bora Bora, so the locations include anything from shallow turquoise lagoon waters down to deep blue stops on the Pacific ocean side! However, most of our stops will be inside the reef with depths of 1-5 meters.
