French Polynesia is not inexpensive. So with that in mind, the $100 for a full day outing is downright cheap. But that’s not the reason to book this trip. It’s a family run and owned business and the fun starts at the pick up and doesn’t end until you are dropped off, with singing, jokes and the most creature filled snorkeling adventure you will find. As others have mentioned, you will swim and touch rays and sharks, play with other a puffer fish and get up close to a moray eel in his natural home. We got to see a manta too. The meal on the private island is great, filling and delicious and could easily be your only meal of the day, it’s that generous. Our guide was the nephew of the owner and he kept us entertained with his ukulele and wonderful voice. He also knows the reef and lagoon like the back of his hand. We visited three islands on our trip, and this outing was the cherry on the cake.…

I cannot rave enough about this experience we had during our honeymoon. From swimming with eagle rays, black tip sharks, sting rays, manta rays, and tropical fish at the coral garden. That was just while on the boat. Then we were taking to their private island where we got to see sea turtles, play with the sting rays, and walk through the waters with lemon sharks all around us. Once we were done, they provided us a fresh fruit basket and time to sit down and relax while taking it all in. Max even sang some songs and gave us some shark teeth to take home.…

We were lucky enough to have a guide and boat all to ourselves, and Max did an amazing job for this one in a lifetime adventure. Eagle rays, black tipped sharks, stone fish and moray eel in the corral garden, stingrays, manta rays, sea turtles, puffer fish, and lemon sharks. All up close and personal. During our stop with the reef sharks, Max showed off his musical and vocal prowness as well. An absolute feast was presented to us at the family motu followed by an educational hike around the island. The food was out of this world and we had heard prior visitors ordered more to the paltry sum of $25 to feed 3-4 people. I'm not sure if everyone gets this royal treatment but they also sent us home with a platter of fresh fruit...and all the food served was on handmade plates and bowls woven in traditional manner(beautifully)! …

We had such a wonderful time on our tour! We were fortunate enough to be part of a small group. First we were led to an amazing snorkeling spot just off the edge of a motu. We then headed around the island to a reef to swim with the sharks and rays. Once we wrapped that up we went across the channel and the captain said “hurry get in the water, a ray the size of the boat is below!” So I hurriedly jumped in and got to witness a truly once in a lifetime experience. We then headed off to the lagoonarium. It was an exceptional thing to see, a truly authentic representation of life on the island as well as some pretty wonderful food. One thing to note is that we took the 3/4 day tour. I also noticed that only one of the many boat tours had live music the whole tour, and that was ours! We enjoyed the true authenticity of our guide, he was worth the admission of the tour alone and provided my wife and I memories that we will remember forever!…
