We began our excursion with transport by van to the Moana Adventure Tour location. Our initial stop was exiting the reef into the open ocean to snorkel with black tipped and lemon sharks. It was an epic experience one that could only be described as a once in a lifetime experience. The ocean was teaming with an abundance of dark colored fish swimming amongst the sharks. It was an amazing spectacle. Our second stop took us back into the lagoon to swim with the stingrays. Our guide fed the stingrays which attracted many others alongside the black tipped reef sharks. The last excursion brought us closer to shore to witness an array of fish near a large colorful coral formation. However, during this time the clouds began to darken considerably and a rainstorm and very windy conditions quickly followed. Our guide returned us to shore safely and quickly. What a great ending to this awesome adventure!

Any time I return to a beloved destination, I worry that the visit might not match the magic of the memories created the first time. Well, this was our family's fourth trip to Bora Bora and Kevin helped ensure that it lived up to our every expectation. He took my husband, three teens, and I on a beautiful and exciting jet ski tour of the entire lagoon surrounding the island. Our kids had never operated a Sea Doo before, yet within a few minutes they felt like experts. Kevin explained the safety procedures and made each of us feel comfortable operating the water craft. We all enjoyed the freedom of exploring the beauty of the island. The kids (and dad) appreciated the speed and bumps... more conservative mom appreciated that we had an expert leading the way! Kevin even rescued our Go Pro when a bump launched it into the lagoon. We would definitely recommend Kevin and Moana Adventure for whatever dreams of fun you might have in Bora Bora.

While my husband and I are experienced divers and snorkelers, we were out with another couple where the woman didn't know how to really swim (just dog paddle) and had never snorkeled. Nico was wonderful. First. he made sure that this was something that she really wanted to do. Then he went an got a special life jacket that he explained would keep her afloat no matter what.
Once we got out to the fist site, he let us get into the water first and then he helped her into the water. He had her hold on to the ladder first and then encouraged her to hold her husband's hand. They both had a wonderful time.
Personally, I totally enjoyed swimming with the sharks. Nico had selected a spot where there were several different types of sharks in the area.
Later when we were with the stingrays, he pointed out a pregnant stingray!
The coral on this trip was healthy and very beautiful. Thank you, Nico!!

We booked the Glass Bottom Boat tour as a ship excursion on the Emerald Princess. We were on the smaller of two boats with only 8 people and Jean as our driver / guide. Jean provided commentary on the way out and serenaded us on the way back.
On the way out Jean manoeuvred the boat so that a canoeist could surf the wake of the boat. On the reef Jean tied up to a buoy and jumped into the water to feed the fish. there were many fish including butterfly fish and a couple of moray eels. It was a much better experience than we had in the Caribbean.
Jean patiently explained his tattoo and the importance to his family life (shark - dolphin and 2 flowers).

Moana is the most established adventure company in Bora Bora. They’ve been in business for 50 years. They were really helpful in quickly responding to inquires about their services and did a great job of following up with reminders in advance of our excursion. We rented a private Polynesian outrigger for an afternoon. Sam was our captain. He was really great in organizing an afternoon that drew on what he knew would be best that aligned with our interests. We had a great time seeing the string rays and black tipped sharks and snorkeling in a coral garden. Moana is an excellent choice to plan an excursion with. We also did a private boat with Pure Snorkeling / Reef Discovery and had an equally good experience.

Our guide Thierry was excellent. He was friendly, informative, entertaining, funny, and was a Dr. Dolittle wit the butterfly fish, stingrays and black tipped sharks. Highly recommend this tour. Private tour is completely worth it. Well do this again next time.

My wife and I came to Bora Bora for the first time for our honeymoon, and decided to book 3 excursions with Moana Adventure Tours. We did a full day tour of snorkeling, a sunset cruise / dinner, and a jet ski tour. Each and every one was AMAZING. Our Captains were funny, engaging, and knowledgeable. The snorkel full tour was an absolute delight, we swam with sharks and sting rays and even happened upon a Manta and school of spotted Eagle rays as well. The coral gardens were stunning and when we went ashore for lunch it was prepared by a staff member and tasted amazing. The sunset tour was also beautiful, our Captain Maui sang for us and poured us champagne while touring us around the western part of the lagoon, and he dropped us off directly at the St James restaurant for dinner (my wife and I agreed we enjoyed the St. James more than La Villa Mahana or the resort restaurants). Finally our jet ski tour was a ton of fun! My wife had never been on one before and our guide Ali was encouraging and so kind! Overall our experience with Moana was top notch and we intend to book with them again whenever we return to Bora Bora!!!

The boat is a really good steel hulled catamaran with a covered seating area unless you choose the sun deck and the access to the water is down steel steps to a platform between the hulls. Very easy, although getting out in choppy water is always a challenge. This tour visits 3 sites, outside the lagoon to swim with lemon sharks and inside the lagoon to shallow water to experience being up close with the rays and sharks in water you can stand in and finally to snorkel the coral reef. At the last stop you may also get amazing up close views of the frigate birds and terns which dive down for fish pieces.
Father and son crew very helpful and serve beautiful fresh fruit at the end on the return journey.
Masks and snorkels provided, but a tip - take some water shoes as the sand in the inner reef is quite sharp and there are quite a lot of rocks you may tread on.

We booked the half day swimming with sting rays and reef sharks excursion. First stop is out into the open ocean to a spot about 6 meters deep teeming with black tip reef sharks and lemon sharks up to 3 meters in length. Then it was off to a spot within the lagoon about 1.25 meters deep where the reef sharks and sting rays are waiting. After petting and swimming with the rays it's off to the final stop. Here there is a bunch of beautiful coral and a wide variety of fish. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. It was good and we got what we paid for.

Truly a remarkable experience! MUST DO! I was the only one that had signed up for the jet ski tour around Bora Bora so both Jeff and Ali were my tour guides. Being sun glasses! I didn’t but Jeff let me use his 🙌🏻 make sure to also bring sunscreen for arms and shoulders, also some wet shoes. Guides go barefoot but they know where to step. I was there on a cruise ship that left at 4pm but Nana and Vi were extremely helpful in calming my fears about getting back to the ship. Lunch at Bloody Mary’s was delicious, fun and beautiful bar on the island. Make sure to bring a go pro or a water proof case for your phone! Def wouldn’t rate it a 10/10, they were Extremely accommodating.
If you only want to snorkel with sting rays and sharks I’d recommend them going earlier in the day, more came out for those tours than the ones I was in the afternoon but still an exhilarating experience. Tour guide on the boat was awesome and they pick you up on Bloody Mary’s dock like a boss. Don’t leave Bora Bora without doing either of these with Moana tours!

Yes we do not go on the spot with "I love Bora" for security reasons, it's a snorkeling spot and we do not have the access with jetski.

We propose a Private Tour Bora Bora Lagoon Fishing tour:
Always done on a Boston whaler 17ft with sun top (There is No Toilet on board, Lunch is not included.)
Free Pick-up at 8:00am
Lagoon fishing : Fish sizes vary from 1/2 pound (250 gr) to 10 pounds (5 kg) for some of them. But you can also be surprised by a big jack over 30 pounds Flying fishing possible inside the lagoon for guests with their own equipments.
There are some bonefish in Bora Bora but very difficult to catch them because of the corals.
Lagoon fishing Prefer lures and in color orange / pink / white / yellow.
Equipment used: Camry GP 3 500 with 10 lbs. test, and Penn 450 SS with 16 lbs. test.
We advise you to take for light clothing and comfortable, hat, sun cream high protection, polarized sunglasses and a light raincoat (a shower can quickly spoil your fun if you're wet and you're cold on the boat).

We will be arriving on CMV Columbus on Saturday 10th February. We are due to arrive at 0900 but will need to tender to shore. I note that your Shark and Stingray tour leaves at 0900. Is there any way we can have a tour that leaves at about 1000 to allow time to come ashore?
