Fascinating open-air museum in St Albert. It features two grain elevators, a reconstructed railway station and a number of historic houses. Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. They happily take you on a tour or let you do your thing.

I took my children here after my 4 year old asked me, "What's in those big houses (grain elevators) mommy? " At that moment, I decided to plan a trip to show my kids a little piece of history. We were the only ones- nobody else and, were quickly greeted and offered a cookie and a tour. Donations only each of us threw in a few toonies and learned a lot. It was great. The ypung lady tour guide was sweet, smart and patient. I had packed a picnic lunch and we ate there on the grounds.
A+
Thank you, St. Albert for keeping up these beautiful pieces of history.

Called in on our way by thinking we'd just take a quick look around. We were greeted by a lovely lady who gave us a tour of the elevators and was full of information about them and how they worked. It's a very clever set up. The buildings are really charming, full of old machinery and the tour was brilliant. Really interesting!

Too soon we forget the important role the numberous Searle, Pool, UGG, Pioneer elevators played in the development of prairie agriculture. They were the striking landmarks visible on the vast flat prairies, thus the name "prairie righties. There are not many restored working prairie elevators to be experienced so kudos to St Albert for their initiative in keeping the history alive. It is not a huge sophisticated museum but worth the visit.

Grain Elevators are disappearing across Canada as new technologies and distribution methods are introduced. St. Albert has preserved and given honour to the past in their Grain Elevator Park. This remarkable outdoor museum will keep our history alive. Phoebe and Kathryn were extraordinary tour guides - knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We had a wonderful afternoon. This is a great place to take children.

Really interesting and we had an amazing guide who told us so much more than just about the grain elevator. We learned a lot about the people of St. Albert and its history. Really enjoyed our visit.
