It was great to walk abound and see the many varieties of tall and short flowering plants that adorned the Park.

You can tell there's a lot of love that's been invested into this beautiful botanic garden in the city of St. Albert, just north of Edmonton. It's owned by the City, but run by volunteers. We noticed that most of the flowers were identified with little signs - far more than in most professionally run gardens that we've seen. There's ample parking, and a nicely maintained walkway. Not only that, it is located right next to the Sturgeon River and the pathway that runs along it. On our visit, we followed the path a bit and got to a pedestrian bridge and got a better view of the river. We'd say, if you're in Edmonton in the summer and love gardens and flowers, this is a must-see for you!

There is something new every week blooming from May to October. Great to walk thru with friends or family. Being by the river is a bonus.

We parked our car inside the St. Albert Botanic Park.

Once out of the car, I took my camera and took many flowers.

There were all kinds of colors and different flowers as well.

We took our walk to not miss anything!

This is completely free.

We enjoyed what we saw and wished it could go on for more.

This is a must see!

You will love it!

Next to the treasured Red Willow Trails, this is my favourite place. No matter the season, there is a discovery to be made and a joy to behold. Thanks so much to the volunteers who make this Garden a precious Gem!!

We had our parents surprise 50th Anniversary party at the John Beedle Center. The facility was perfect as we used the outside and inside. The building is quite small so just know that in advance. The grounds were absolutely perfect with dahlias and roses in full bloom amonng so many other flowers, shrubs and trees!!!! So many commented on how beautiful the gardens were. Many stated this was much nicer than the Devonian Botanical Gardens!!! You must go and visit to believe it. Lastly, this is a perfect place for pictures!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. To start off, at first they seemed nice. They replied to emails at a decent rate. The problem started when they failed to mention a very important rule: no outside chairs. But wait, nowhere in their brochures, or their website states no third party chairs whatsoever and also in person, no one mentioned this very important rule of theirs. Taylor was the one who got our paperwork done when we gave our deposit. When I asked if we could bring in gold chiavari chairs, Patricia said someone should have mentioned it to us. Nope. Not mentioned. We were also told we were the last slot for a ceremony on our wedding date on a Saturday. We even tried to accommodate and make sure it wouldn't interfere with anyone or anything that would wreck the flowers in their garden. Then Patricia told us we weren't the last slot. So, based on their lies, we decided we didn't want to give our money to this company. I guess the one star can be for them returning our deposit money. If you want to save yourself a headache, stay the eff away from this venue. Their garden isn't even that nice so no wonder they love their ugly chairs and won't let anyone change it. My first choice was muttart conservatory but unfortunately they're closed for renovations until 2021. Personally if I was a business owner, I would first own up to my mistake, then second, I would try to make the customer happy if I was in the wrong but hey, to each their own. They didn't seem like they wanted our money with how rude and unprofessional they were towards my fiancé and I. They were basically pushing us to get our refund instead of trying to fix the problem. We will take our money elsewhere.

My husband and I took our granddaughters down to the botanical gardens for a walk. What a great way to spend an hour walking through the many colours and blooming flowers. It also was helpful selecting flowers that we are thinking of, the grounds are so clean and well taken care of.
I would recommend any family or couple to go down for a leisurely stroll.
