You can tell there's a lot of love that's been invested into this beautiful botanic garden in the city of St. Albert, just north of Edmonton. It's owned by the City, but run by volunteers. We noticed that most of the flowers were identified with little signs - far more than in most professionally run gardens that we've seen. There's ample parking, and a nicely maintained walkway. Not only that, it is located right next to the Sturgeon River and the pathway that runs along it. On our visit, we followed the path a bit and got to a pedestrian bridge and got a better view of the river. We'd say, if you're in Edmonton in the summer and love gardens and flowers, this is a must-see for you!

There is something new every week blooming from May to October. Great to walk thru with friends or family. Being by the river is a bonus.

We parked our car inside the St. Albert Botanic Park. Once out of the car, I took my camera and took many flowers. There were all kinds of colors and different flowers as well. We took our walk to not miss anything! This is completely free. We enjoyed what we saw and wished it could go on for more. This is a must see! You will love it!

Next to the treasured Red Willow Trails, this is my favourite place. No matter the season, there is a discovery to be made and a joy to behold. Thanks so much to the volunteers who make this Garden a precious Gem!!
