It is always a bright and warm place to come to wonder around in the winter. Staff a very friendly and helpful. It is a multi use facility with a grocery store, spa, wine store ectera.
I am hoping they will open a dining restaurant again and have more plants in the greenhouse. It is such a large place they could place all the outdoor trees they sell to fill up the empty areas.

If I lived in Edmonton, this is where I would hang out, especially in the winter. It's like a West Edmonton Mall for adults. Because it's all indoors and enclosed in glass, it's super sunny and bright and absolutely huge. You can shop for all your landscaping materials, gardening plants and vegetables, furniture, home decor, seasonal decor, kitchenwares, fresh baked breads and other bakery items, groceries, liquor, deli items, etc. The list is endless. As well as all that, you can have a gourmet coffee at the coffee bar or a complete meal in the restaurant which overlooks the Lois Hole memorial park and has a very nice outdoor deck for nice weather. There is even a full-scale European spa where you can get your massage, facial, pedicure/manicure, etc. It's a really fun place to go and spend the day and get whatever you need. I also attended a large gala event in the event facility and it was fabulous. It's very spacious and nicely decorated and after dark the lighting is very attractive. We were there in very hot weather and they were working out problems with the cooling system so it was quite warm inside but in winter this will be such a great place to go in cold weather. It's a great new addition to the Edmonton area and I highly recommend it.

Overall the centre was very nice. I found it quite expensive. I found it very strange that you sell groceries and have a restaurant and allow dogs to be in the facility. I was very disgusted by that.

I have purchased all of the houseplants from Hole’s for years however have been recently very unhappy. The poor selection is likely due to COViD however much of what they do have doesn’t look happy and is clearly either under or over watered. I purchased an Aloe that looked good at purchase however started to rot within weeks even though I hadn’t watered it. They refused to take it back without a receipt. The plant has their sticker on it and they’ve barely been reopened a few weeks. I told them about a section in their centre that appears to have fungus gnats flying everywhere. The staff was very polite however totally not helpful. She essentially said the plants has been sprayed and deal with it. I chose to leave the plants there rather than risk spreading fungus gnats throughout my home.

I’ve always been willing to pay more there for the quality and of course how beautiful it is but I won’t be paying more for rotting bug infested plants and unhelpful staff. Try somewhere else this year.

We held our wedding at The Enjoy Center, and it was one of the worst experiences ive ever had. If you are looking to get married in Edmonton, PLEASE Read the reviews on yelp and trip advisor before you book with this venue.

The venue itself is beautiful and unique looking. However the owners and management are a nightmare to work with. They will promise to provide things like staging, rafter speakers, water glasses, podiums, etc when you book with them (and consequently pay the down payment) and then will turn around 3 days before your wedding and tell you these things are no longer included, and then threaten to cancel the event unless you pay an additional 80%.

The executive manager/head chef in particular should be avoided at all costs. He was extremely disrespectful to myself and my parents, and at one point raised his voice to my mother and father threatening to cancel our wedding if they didn't pay a premium. He lacks integrity and decency, and brings up problems with your agreement days before your event, knowing full well that it is too late to make alternative arrangements for the items that are apparently not included in your contract. This is the dirtiest kind of business and should not be trusted with your wedding or special event.

We went through seven different event coordinators between the day we signed the contract and our wedding day. Each of these individuals were either fired or quit due to disagreements with senior management. And after having directly dealt with the management, it is not surprising to see why.

On our wedding day itself, the staff were exceedingly rude to our guests, stole bottles of vodka and craft beer, refused to provide water glasses to my grandparents and family, and tried to shut down the party early. They refused to return boxes for the cake and favors, and were exceedingly aggressive with our other vendors who were trying to set up and clean up. The executive chef seemed determined to make things as difficult as possible throughout the entire process, and even kicked us out of the hall during our rehearsal\ set up time by informing us that he'd set the alarm and that we had 15 minutes to leave before security arrived. Saying the experience was stressful was an understatement.

Do Not Book With the ENJOY CENTER. And if you have already booked, cancel it. Your wedding day will be stressful enough, without having to worry about whether they will try to cancel your event or over charge you.

And if you think this is an isolated event, please note, that we have now encountered 4 other individuals with similar experiences. The enjoy center has been deleting unfavorable reviews and flooding their web pages with adds and positive messages.

Our daughter and her fiancé booked the Park Room and the Glass House Bistro for their wedding. They booked in April 2015 for an August 2016 date. They were very excited because the people they met with were professional and had lots of great ideas! In the spring they tried contacting the event manager to book a tasting and finalizing the details for the big day. They discovered that the people they had worked with were no longer there and the new people were not as easy to contact or deal with. Eventually they were able to make an appointment for a tasting in June. When they arrived they discovered they were not doing a tasting and had a less than helpful meeting with the new chef and event manager. They left with a copy of the new menu and prices which was a significant increase from the contract they signed. What they were allowed to choose from also decreased in variety. After some back and forths with the event manager and management they were able to schedule an actual tasting. They sent a list of dishes from the menu they wanted to try and clearly outlined my daughter's severe allergies. When they arrived for the tasting they did not get any of the items they requested and no one seemed to be aware that there were concerns regarding allergies. They didn't like the items they did get to sample and whenever they asked about changes they were told it would cost more but no indication regarding cost was given. They were made to feel like they should let the chef determine what was served. In the original contract they were having a family style meal with 2 salads. At the tasting they were told they would only get one salad and if they wanted an extra salad it would be $15.00 per person. This added to the concern about the meal. After much discussion our daughter and her fiancé decided they would accept the new limitations and carry on with planning the wedding. They still did not have a quote for the meal and repeatedly asked for a quote. When the quote finally arrived and the cost had escalated by $25.00 per person and did not include the extra salad. At this point it was just under 4 weeks until the wedding. With the price increase and the concerns regarding the interactions they had with the new people they decided to move the wedding. I cannot believe that any business treats customers in this fashion!! We certainly will not be returning!! If you do decide to consider this venue for an event be aware that they cannot be depended on to honor commitments!!

As can be imagined finding a new venue and moving the venue in less than a month was challenging. The wedding was last weekend and went very well at the new location! We are very glad the venue was moved!!

From the looks of it, most of the product is brought in from other greenhouses, eg British Columbia and beyond. Nice looking plants, but the prices are easily 60 to 100% higher than greenhouses that grow their own product. You get the feeling you are subsidizing that very expensive building. Its a strange setup, the meat shop and organic grocery are in the basement and it's a little dark down there and cavernous.

Hi Sandi, Thanks for the feedback. I want to clear up an inaccuracy in your review. While we do buy some product from BC, Manitoba, and Oregon, we grow much of our own product. Right now we have a number of plants growing in our ranges including: poinsettias, strawberries, begonias, paperwhites, amaryllis, hyacinths, some herbs, ivies, and spider plants. In a few months (once all of these poinsettias are gone!), we'll be moving full swing into planting tomatoes, peppers, pumpkins, squash, cucumbers, greens, more herbs, and lots and lots of annual flowers. No greenhouse in Alberta that I'm aware of grows ALL of their own product and offers the massive, year-round selection that we do. The products that we do buy from other greenhouses we buy either because we don't have the space to grow them (i.e. tropical trees) or because other growers are specialists in them (i.e. our evergreens come from the best evergreen growers on the continent). If you'd ever like a tour of the greenhouses to see some of the growing in action, feel free to give us a call and our chief horticulturist, Jim Hole, would be happy to give you a tour. If you're shopping at a big box store like a hardware store or a department store, they occasionally have some really cheap plants. That said, our plants will be of higher quality as we take extra care to maintain them all properly. We guarantee our plants, and our staff have extensive training on plants so you can be sure that you are getting a quality plant, from a local, family-owned business. Finally: our building does have an interesting set-up! Our roof collects rainwater, which we store in a large underground cistern and use to water our plants. This greatly reduces our water use. Our building also uses a fraction of the energy you'd expect as we've used special insulated glass on our roof to allow both heat and light in. We've also reduced our physical footprint by having our spa, grocery store, liquor store, floral studio, and deli downstairs rather than sprawling out over one giant single floor. Keeping their refrigerators away from the sunny windows upstairs also reduces the amount of electricity they use on cooling. It is a bit of an unusual set-up but it I believe the benefits are obvious. Cheers, Bryan

I called the green house to see if edible lavender was available. The lady said no and I asked if she had any ideas where I might get some. Instead of just saying "I don't know" which is fine - she got a snarky attitude and said "she had no idea as they are not affiliated with any other greenhouse and that I had to do my own research" Really, is that necessary? Wow - customer service at its poorest. The only great thing is that she answered the phone and I didn't have to drive there.

Friends of ours booked with the Enjoy centre for a wedding venue. She had several problems with management changes and lack of clear communication. In the end there were problems on site the day of the wedding and it was very stressful for the family and newlyweds. I wouldn't recommend the venue for the cost and the headache. Best look elsewhere.
