I am writing on behalf of a group of friends (7 adults and two children) who traveled to the Progreso area of the Yucatan peninsula at the end of 2020 through the new year. We engaged Yucatan Cenote Eco-Aventuras months before the trip, and working with Ruth in planning our trip was instrumental in its overwhelming success. She truly went above and beyond our expectations, including arranging shuttle services (with several stops) from the CUN airport across the peninsula to Chuburna, Yucatan, Mexico. We booked two full days with Yucatan Cenote Eco-Aventuras, and we could have (should have) booked a third! The two days spent with Roussel were... magical. It was no "accident" that we were matched with this amazing man -- as many of us in the group are constantly seeking spiritual connections to the earth, to our shared human experiences, and to each other. Roussel's spirit, his genuine love of all things Yucutan, his connection to the people and the cenotes and the history, his enthusiasm, his humor... i could go on and on... truly made our shared days together AMAZING. More than amazing... the experiences were truly authentic... because Roussel's love for his work (the people, the land, the cenotes) is truly authentic. His generosity of spirit was limitless, and we feel truly blessed to have benefitted from his infectious love. SOOO special to us were the invitations to share two meals at the homes of Rosita and Dona Chuchi (and their families). Not only were we ravenous upon our arrivals, but the food was amazing! And OMG, they were so kind, and welcoming, and eager to share their "food culture" with us. Those meals, in these homes, were truly something special. And again, the authenticity wasn't just that we shared homemade meals at their homes, but was from their genuine interest in "pleasing" us and ensuring that we enjoyed our time with them. They were both truly special lunches. We will remember them forever. And the cenotes. OH. Those magical "water holes". I quite literally can't say enough. The only was to really "understand" them is to experience them. And to experience them with Roussel made them all the more special. The same can be said about our visit to the Mayapan ruins. Roussel's connection to Mayapan is special and personal, making it all the more special to us. I've been to Chichen Itza and Uxmal and Coba and Tulum, but thanks to Roussel, I will always love the Mayapan ruins the most. Now. Be "warned". If you're looking for a "Cancun"-style adventure, stay in Cancun. This isn't Cancun, or Tulum, etc. The lunches aren't in hotels or restaurants - they are in the homes of "locals". The cenotes we were taken to (at our request) weren't "commercial", and again, they are operated by "locals" -- thereby directly benefitting their local economies. These are "eco-aventuras". Not "spas" or "disneyland". If you're not interested in TRULY exploring authentic Yucatan experiences, maybe stay in Cancun and talk to your hotel's concierge? To wrap it all up, I can not possibly recommend Yucatan Cenote Eco-Aventuras enough. From start to finish, every aspect of our experience was INCREDIBLE. OH!! I can't forget to mention Miguel, the driver, who tolerated our nonsense with patience and charm! Anyway, I think y'all get the gist! FIVE STAR RATING across the board, for all the RIGHT reasons! THANK YOU Yucatan Cenote Eco-Aventuras for making our trip FUN, ENLIGHTENING, ADVENTUROUS, MEMORABLE, and SPECIAL.

There's a reason this company has so many 5-star reviews. It's amazing. Not only was Ruth super flexible in allowing us to change dates but the actual day itself (with guide Roussel and driver Miguel) was unforgettable. We have many friends planning to come to the Yucatan in the coming months and we will not hesitate to recommend this company highly.

I have had the pleasure of taking a few excursions with Yucatan Cenote. Ruth and Chris will make sure you have an amazing unforgettable Time. The guides are very welcoming and knowledgeable. My favourite cenote is Yaal Utzil. You will see and experience things most tourists don't even know about. Can't wait to join them again for another adventure. Chuck Tippel

Had to regretfully cancel due to virus and cruise being cancelled. Received no questions when I asked for a refund. Professional prompt refund just like the booking process. Hopefully we will get there one day!!
