Was very windy and cold in late December. Hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of crosses. Quite strange and unique place.

It's a relatively small area but the amount of crosses is hard to get your head around they are everywhere its a wonderful sight but isolated and can be cold.

Amazing number of crosses that years of Soviet occupation couldn't erase. Can walk up and down many paths, crosses everywhere. Small charge to leave car (.9 euro). There is an info and souvenir centre with nice toilets (.5 euro charge).

It’s special place, magic one. Everybody who visits this hill leave own cross. That is why there are many crosses here, incredible number of crosses you can see here.

One of the special places that we visited so far and already couple times. Can touch your hart. Unbelievable quantities of different crosses. Very recommended if you believe or even do not believe to any religion.

Must see in Siauliai area. Travel site No.1. Maybe a little bit creepy for somebody, but really worth to see. At least nothing better to see in Siauliai :)

Even though this might be the most turisty spot in the whole Baltic region, I still think it is worth the trip to visit. If you don't want to pay for parking in the public parking lot - or just want to avoid all the...More

The outstanding and touching story of the National resistance and religious symbol of it. There was a hard time in Lithuania in the second half of the 19th cent. They lived through it and today people commemorate it by putting crosses here.

The site is clearly an important historical symbol of the people's defiance against suppression of their beliefs. In this respect it is an important landmark. In fact it is a pity that the hill and the original crosses couldn't have been preserved as they were....More

A visit to the Hill of Crosses for us, was a must, and we weren't disappointed. The place has a lovely feeling, and we took some beautiful photographs. It was a dreary, drizzling day, which only added to the beauty of it all. You can...More

Andreas: There's no direct lighting, only tower lamps at the visitor center. There is, however, a paved/wooden path through the middle, but no handrails. Be careful even in the day. Someone bumped against me and neuropathy... More
