What a beautiful place to visit. Would strongly recommend anyone with or without kids, young and old, paying this place a vist. The animals are loved and well looked after. The staff are beautiful people. Enjoyed every minute. Cost next to nothing for a fantastic walk around and guided tour of the animals, you can clearly see the animals are looked after properly and happy.

The most enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours. We went along in time for the guided tour and learnt so much about these wonderful animals. Each of them had a story, many of them heartbreaking. Plenty opportunities to get up close to the donkeys for strokes and cuddles too.
Great to see such good work being done to rescue and rehabilitate these gorgeous creatures. Amazing owner and staff and a really friendly atmosphere. Great little cafe too. I highly recommend it if you're in the area you'll not be disappointed.

This centre gave us a warm welcome my the young person who the centre is inspired by. The sanctuary is clean and the animals are so well looked after it’s a really pleasant experience. We were given great service the the cafe. We joined a tour and the lady giving the tour was fabulous. My problem was the back stories of the animals were really sad and my child couldn’t cope. I think perhaps using language that meets an adults level and skips children hearing the full message would be best. The details were quite hard to hear and my daughter was crying. Obviously the sanctuary is doing great work, but we had to leave the tour early.

We took our 2 grandsons aged 3+4 and they loved it. It was interesting to hear how and why the donkeys ended up at the sanctuary and they loved feeding the little goats. Well worth a visit for a good cause.

I visited the Wonky Donkey sanctuary with my daughter as a birthday treat and we spent a wonderful couple of hours there.

We were showed around the visitor centre and spent a lot of time in the stables, stroking and petting the donkeys. The visit was really informative and we learned about each of them and their very often sad stories.

It is a great place to visit and they do such a fabulous job with such care and passion.

We even adopted a donkey which my daughter was so excited about!!

Took my autistic grandson here on Saturday and we had the best time, interesting talk about the donkeys and then the wonderful treat of a sensory room in the cafe which he LOVED! More needs to be made of the sensory room, I didn’t even know it was there!!

Once again we enjoyed our visit, having first visited in 2016, and 2018. Jackie gave us a great tour (and on her birthday too, her daughter let that slip on our way out!) very informative and friendly, showing her love for the donkeys. There are tear jerking stories, but told gently. You can see how well looked after and loved they all are, in brilliant facilities. The goats are fab too. Quite a bit built/added on since our last visit, including the portacabin cafe. Ginormous bacon sandwich before our tour! Plenty of other offerings on the menu, which you can eat in or have outside, including drinks and ice cream/lollies. We were pleased to see Finn, a donkey our son had a lovely cuddle with on our first visit in 2016. ❤️

Lovely place to visit and Donkeys well looked after but i was disappointed with the cafe options as no plant based/vegan options at all. As this is a sanctuary i would expect there to be due respect towards other/all animals yet the menu is sorely lacking in any plant based options.

Please add them to your menu! I think it's a shame you would regard an abused donkey with such regard but fail to recognise that the animals you serve on your menus are also abused in a similar fashion for food - you can help towards a kinder world with a better menu (please also include dairy free ice creams as cows are also abused for milk).

Lovely day out despite the weather, first time visit and it was one of the donkey's birthday so a suitable birthday cake was brought out for him as a treat. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and took care to make sure the children could associate with the donkeys'. Good car parking and a very nice cafe, plenty of room between tables and well presented food. Other animals included miniature ponies and mountain goats

What a very special family run place to visit and how lovely it is to show such commitment to helping rehabilitate all the rescued donkeys, horses and goats. It was so lovely to meet them all and see how well they’re all cared for. There was an unexpected treat of being able to hug some donkeys and walk through a field with some. The cafe is wonderful with a varied range of food and drinks. Will definitely return for another visit.
