The best place to observe the building is to sit in the plaza at one of the nearby bars/cafes. From there, you can watch the clock, a focal point of the building. We made no effort to go inside. It appears to only an office...More

Visited on a Saturday afternoon so closed although unsure if one can enter and to what touristy purpose. Bell tower and statues worth s photo or two and really that's it.

Shortly after entering Astorga, one come across the large place at the Ayuntamiento. The plaza is lined with outdoor cafes and is a great place for food, drink, and people watching. At this point, you are sitting in the shadow of the attractive Ayuntamiento building....More

Wonderful building and such an interesting clock. If in town you will probably pass through this plaza and it is well worth pausing, particularly on the hour/half hour! Nice place to find a bar to sit and watch the world pass by and the pilgrims...More

Very good place and very well located. They are located in the plaza and have a lots of restaurants around that area. Great place to have a drink in the afternoon.
