We spent the morning touring Astorga and were impressed with the ancient walls. At one point we could clearly see the width and it was was hard to imagine the construction process. They add much character to an already interesting city.

If you want a short walk whilst in Astorga, follow the route around the walls. There is a lovely paseo from which you can have a good view of the area just outside the city.

Yet another example of walks remaining from.Roman times. Hardly worth a special journey but a photo portability.

The walls are amazing. The fact that the Romans made these so many years ago is a tribute to their building skills. The park in front of the wall is attractive and a lovely place to walk. They can be found behind the Bishop's Palace.
