This beach is one of the best beaches i ve ever seen. The water is so clear, it's a good beach for kids and it has a big parking lot.

We went there beacause we wanted to go to the principal beach bar. We tried to reach the parking area but you can’t bring any food or drinking with you ‘cause you must buy everything at the beach bar. As we had our own things,...More

This is one of the most beautiful bays in the area, with great water. Unfortunately im recent years several beach bars have sprung up, some of them with insanely loud music. Parking is also a huge issue, due to the increased popularity of the beach.

The beach is very beautiful, surrounded by pine trees which offer nice natural shadow, which we enjoyed. The water is great, clean and with a beautiful blue color, has little pebbles at the entrance. We had very good fruits smoothies at Isla Beach Bar. The...More

Beach chair/umbrella etiquette questions (10 Replies)
Greece newbie here, looking forward to a few days relaxation in Stoupa. We are staying slightly outside of town but have a car and will drive in to spend some time on the beach, have lunch/dinner, etc. A few questions: 1) What are the recommended parking spots? 2) Do we have to rent chairs/umbrellas, and if so, where to arrange that? I believe I read that chairs on the beach are free but in looking at the pictures there appear to be many different kinds and I'm not clear whether these are...More

I can't speak for Stoupa speciflcally but generally in Greece if there are beds on a beach they are all owned by someone - be it a hotel, bar or restaurant, and they are permanently in situ. The reason you will see different kinds is because there may be several bars on a beach, and each may have their own section of sunbeds for their customers. Some will charge a set fee for the day, others may be free of charge as long as you buy drinks and snacks from that bar throughout the day....More

Hi Does anyone know if the Kalogria beach webcam is working? Don’t seem to be able to view it. Thanks for any help. 👍

It's been shut down for a long while so you cannot see the number of sunbeds anymore. Think there is just a very small picture at the side

Map of Stoupa - nearest beach to hotel Stoupa (13 Replies)
From reading all the Stoupa messages, it seems Kalogria beach is the type we prefer (soft sand) how long would it take to walk there from hotel stoupa? I'm assuming the hotel is nearest to the town beach? Also, can I find a map somewhere online? Just to get bearings don't want to miss out on all these fab tavernas. Thanks

No map required, Stoupa is very small and easy to negotiate, but your Rep will probably give you a hand drawn map in your welcome pack, if not, then call in at Doufexis travel just down the road to the town beach from Stoupa Hotel.
