Well, you don't have to hike up the volcano. You can drive if you want. But most people take the 297 stairs straight up the side of the volcano to get to the plaza and golden Buddha on top.The entire volcano is wooded so there's...More

The Buddha is huge and easily reached by scooter. You can also walk up many steps to get here. The location is very peaceful, clean and has very good views.

The image of Buddha was a lot nicer than the visit to the volcano mound just 500 meters down the road. The Buddha is pretty large. At the time we were there it wasn't busy, but looking at the patio around the Buddha reveals that...More

Its good if you like to do some exercise to walk up and walk back down by the dragon stairs. Or you can choose to drive up. Once you reach the top, you can view part of the buriram town

Able to drive up to the top and get a good photo of the big Buddha. Not really high enough to get a decent view of the town and racing circuit.
