Such a wonderful pristine part of the South African coast, full of plains game, beautiful white beaches Whales breaching in the bay all day long; Wild Africa at it's very best. Wonderful hikes and something for everyone. Well worth every moment.

This place is amazing !!! We spent only 2 days in the reserve and we didn’t regret, even though we couldn’t see whales - they show up after June. The dunes, the beach, the animals - a must do if you are in South Africa.

This reserves combines more than just one habitat: there’s the beach (tropical-turquoise water with white sand), the dunes, the river-shaped vlei (lake), the bush vegetation and the meadows. Animals you’ll see: elands (big!!), bonteboks, ostrichs, zebras (if you are lucky, as they hide in the...More
