ALL APPEARANCE and no substance!!!!
For what we paid (533.00 euros) for two days we expected everything except to arrive there and find on the floor minus one two tubs of dirty hot and cold water with very little space to move and relax which we had to opt for going to the spa of San Filippo the next day and with our car because not even the bike rental shop was operational (and on the website it appeared completely the opposite)!!!! Don't go there, you'll be wasting money and, moreover, the rooms were not at all soundproof (the volume of the TV or a phone call was enough to hear everything and you couldn't sleep) and the bathroom for having paid 225 euros per night was not at all modern. They will certainly remove the negative review but my partner and I didn't expect all this at all! Ps dinner, having arrived at 9.40pm, they didn't even allow us to dine at the restaurant (well paid!!!) I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!

location of the structure very nice and characteristic, it seems to be out of the world very suggestive, you turn on foot, there are many typical restaurants and you eat very well.
As for the hotel, it's not really a spa resort.
the rooms are small, the rooms are retro style ', but clean and the bed very comfortable.
the spa part I was very disappointed, the thermal pool and 'small although very warm and pleasant, and' flanked by another pool of the same size but with normal water, I must say that the water left me a beautiful skin but nothing more' (these spas are not certified).
The spa, really non-existent, in the basement there is a room always with thermal water and steam, but nothing else.
I found the scarce presence of staff assigned to do the treatments that are listed in the brochure, and even the spa premises would need a restiling, so I do not recommend it for those seeking, a real spa.
In front of the swimming pools, resting on a small lawn there are deck chairs but there are no umbrellas for those who do not like to be directly in the sun.
Good cleaning, staff who more 'who less, kind and welcoming,
Average food, Prices of the restaurant inerno, quite high, cmq and 'the trend of restaurants outside and throughout the area, in my opinion would need a good restyling without obviously touching the uniqueness' of the place where it is located

The Hotel "Le terme" is nestled in the center of Bagno Vignoni. The rooms are comfortable, well lit and very clean. The possibility of making tea in the room is a welcome feature. On the first floor, the choice to leave one of the original rooms intact, probably the reception room, allows you to work or study in perfect silence early in the morning, with the large fountain in the square as a backdrop. The restaurant, also overlooking the square, offers a sufficiently varied menu, even for vegetarians, taking advantage of a position that accentuates the beauty of the village. The two swimming pools, although not very large, nevertheless ensure pleasant immersions in waters of different grades; the Roman baths (probably busier in winter) complete a spa offering that meets expectations. Breakfast is outdoors or indoors, in the coolest and quietest part of the hotel, with a sufficiently rich buffet. The staff at the front desk, housekeeping, spa, and restaurant are friendly and helpful; The flexibility is also very welcome for those who show up before the check-in time. the surroundings ensure, in addition to constant pleasure for the eye, easy reaching of more or less well-known tourist destinations

I rarely do it but in this case I use the word PERFECT with conviction: the night in the intimate B/B area, overlooking the pool of the old spa, the typically Tuscan atmosphere. The staff is professional and always very kind. The gourmet dinner from the appetizer to the desserts and the breakfast with a rare constant: everything, absolutely everything, of high quality (just for example the ricotta, the yogurt, the desserts and the local cured meats). The spa is not large but very pleasant and the treatment (in our case a draining massage) is totally satisfying. Thank you Francesco for your competence and courtesy.

If you visit Bagno Vignoni you can't miss the Hotel/Spa/B&B/Restaurant/Bar Terme.
The place is a good starting point for hiking, cycling and car tours.
The hotel is ideally located in an idyllic car-free setting with good service and close to other restaurants, the church and some souvenir shops. Our room was simple but very well equipped. It was spacious, the bathroom and shower were large, the bed was rather narrow and a bit short.
Everything was spotlessly clean and the service was good without being outstanding.
The breakfast can be described as well above average for Tuscan standards - very good coffee, tea as usual in European business hotels, sweet and salty offerings including fruit as a buffet, plentiful and very good.
Perfect value for money!

We stopped here as part of a drive through Tuscany that included stops at Pienza and Montepulciano. Bagno Vignoni is an ancient thermal bath complex at the top of a hill with a waterfall running down a cliff. We chose (accidentally) to park at the bottom and follow a trail up. We were rewarded with beautiful sights along the way of ancient pools and coves that you wouldn't see from the top. Once at the top, the views were just stunning stretching out over Tuscany. The hike is not too difficult, though it is entirely uphill.

A wonderful example of Roman baths, with the surrounding buildings very considerate of their history. Makes for very pleasant outdoor dining. Plenty of parking nearby. We have been several times since 2016 first visit, and next time we go back to Pienza, Bagno Vignoni will be on our list again for a nice evening's dining.

The location of the hotel is unique. the charm of the village is strong and conveys a very pleasant sensation of calm and eternity. Nature and the works of man find a rare harmony. You are in the epicenter of a fortunate part of the world and you perceive it through all the senses: the sight of heartbreaking panoramas, the noise of spring streams, the heat on the skin of the thermal waters, the taste and scent of local products...

Wonderful spot to walk around and imagine a simple small
Village. Views in every direction and the water to the baths below was warm. So enjoyed being here off season when we could walk about and enjoy w no crowds

Hello all. Just wondering if this village is anywhere near to any wine tours?
Thanks in advance
Written August 15, 2019
There are there vineyards in the area: Sante Marie di Vignoni, Azienda Agricola Vegliana and Tenuta Sanorer but not sure if they do wine tours. There are a number of others in surrounding areas.

Hola Jorge, pienso ir a Bagno Vignoni.

Mi aiutate a capire?
Grazie a tutti!!
Written February 3, 2018

Muchas gracias!
Written May 14, 2017
Espero haberte ayudado.

I notice the outside pools at the Post Hotel are closed. We are going Mid February. Is there anywhere else to enjoy the thermal springs?
Written January 26, 2017
Sorry I don't know where else, however this small village is just beautiful and worth a visit. We were there in mid October, and it was stunning.

I am trying to plan a trip for my parents and i would like to ask which city would be better for them to stay on order to visit easier the baths and make a stay at the spa hotel. Regarding transportation because they do not want to hire a car.
Thank you for your help.
