This was a great spot on our hike. Also very secluded, we didn't pass many other hikers so you can visit it in peace

The water cascades down an almost vertical gully, with trees and other vegetation either side. You can get a good view from the bridge at the bottom. I would imagine that after heavy rain it would be pretty spectacular but I was there just before...More

not too difficult to walk it (im 24 and not super healthy, but also not super unfit) took me about 90 mins to walk to the waterfall and back to buttermere. The waterfall looks amazing! really worth a visit!

About a 2 mile walk, in a narrow ravine, the longest single drop waterfall in England. Worth a trip, especially after rain. Wear good boots- it’s a damp rocky path

Stopped here on a fell walk from Loweswater to Buttermere. The walk from Buttermere involves crossing a fair size bog and an significant climb along a very rocky path. Good above the ankle waterproof boots recommended. Falls are pretty for what England has to offer.

After walking over Mellbreak and heading to Buttermere it was lovely to look at this wonderful waterfall, which I am guessing would be pretty impressive after a night f heavy rain

A stunning waterfall tumbling down a thousand feet of wooded fell and crags. Absolutely gorgeous, will climb up it one day
