so sad that the museum has closed down I would have loved to visit there however the building is used occasionally by groups to keep it open. It is a lovely place to visit if you get the chance.

Nothing remains except the empty building awaiting re-opening as a tea room. A great example of indutrial heritage and important aspects of our history have been lost.

Sadly this museum has had to close due to lack of volunteers to staff and reduced visitor numbers so it is no longer possible to visit. Some items may be transferred to other museums.

The museum was amazing, Kebab our propper Yorkshire miner with a great sense of humor made me feel very safe. The insight into being a miner was astonishing and i have the up most respect for them. I would definitely go back.
