Seven Sisters (Nohsngithaing) Waterfall is probably worth visiting at the peak of the Rainy Season - July to September. It was barely a waterfall in November; just a small stream. I have stronger water pressure from my shower at home!

You have to come at right time to shoot pictures as the light is bad in the evening on the fall.Good for travellers as an experience.Everyone counts the waterfalls as soon as they see it.

Please tie up with ur tour guide / driver for this place as it won't be a gr8 stopover during the month of November - December as all ull see would be everything without waterfall. A must when it has rained quite a bit for all the 7 streams to have water for the falls

It was okay and the distance is not much . As usual i would suggest keeping a spare change of clothes in the waterproof bag and definitely carry an umbrella with you. You can never predict when it can start raining cats and dogs.

This fall is on the road side. We were not so lucky as when we reached the falls, within a minute the fog covered the whole water fall. A wait of half an hour did not yield any result and we had to return without seeing much,. One should be prepared for the nature's mischief. In a moment the sunny day turns into a foggy day.

It is commonly known as the seven sisters falls as there are seven seperate streams of water dropping into the valey. It less than 5 mins drive from mawsmai caves.
Visited it during feb. So the streams were quite thin.best time would be april/may.
Visit the eco park which is rigght at the point from where these seven streams jump into the valley.

If you are Cherrapunee in July, be prepared for facing bright sunshine and within minutes it may rain. When we reached the first waterfall, it was good nice weather and we did not realise that it may not last. By the time we reached Nohsngithiang or Seven Sisters Falls it started raining. We appreciated the Falls beauty amid rains but a clear sky would have made it more beautiful.

People comer here to visit this major attraction but unfortunately there is no water during winters. A big disappointment as we visited in Jan and couldn't see the water in the fall. Worth visiting during rainy season only.

I wii be travelling to meghalaya on april 12th, will it be worth visiting, will be travelling from shillong to cherrapunji and back, what r the places to visit in april
Written January 15, 2020
Each month in Meghalaya is worth visiting, with different places to focus every season. Majority of the waterfalls may be scanty but some major ones like Nohkalikai, Dainthlen, etc shall still have decent flow. The 3 km trek to Double Decker root bridge can also be done, followed by 2 km trek to Rainbow falls after night stay at Nongriat village (rainforest).
Dawki river, Krangsuri falls can be covered in a day.

I want to do noh-kahlikai waterfalls trek. I want to go from Guwahati directly and want to return on same day. Is that possible? Pls suggest with approximate budget.
Written November 10, 2018
Hi Amish, you need at least two days for this. Guwahati to noh kali khai itself will take half day if you start around 6am (excluding trekking). Whats the point going so far and not spending the time gazing at one of the most beautiful waterfall. The view is not always clear specially around monsoons when the fall looks amazing. Better have 2 days in hand.

Are the skies clear in Cherapunji in Late October?
Written June 25, 2018
it will be foggy in the afternoon
Written June 26, 2018
June is a month of heavy rainfalls. Even if it is not raining and if it being cloudy then you won’t be able to see the valley, view points. If it is sunny then you are on a roll. Check out what the weather says for those days.

I will be visiting cherrapunjee in Feb'18. Can anyone let me know if there will be water in the amazing waterfalls there at that time?
Written October 4, 2017
Water definitely will be there but not as much as in rainy season. It's a matter of good luck, if there is some rain during that time which is not very uncommon. Other than the falls, there are many more places to explore, like the cave and the entire ambience of cherrapunjee, so nothing to be disappointed. Happy journey

What are timings to visit this place? First and last entry?
Written July 17, 2017
No timings. It's on the way from Cheerapunjee to Bangladesh Border. So you can just stop on the way and enjoy the scenery. No entry fee but there will be some parking fee. There are local shops which are open from morning till evening.

I suggest you can consider Sreesarka review as she mentioned maximum places near that region.
Also advise you if you reply want to visit living root brige then keep two day in your hand extra, because it cover 3500 step down and up in the hill. Spent one night near Living root bridge because it will tiring for you to climb again 3500 step to come back. It will definitely a memorable trip for you. More Scenic beauty is depend on when you will going to visit those places.
