We visited Daithlen falls in the morning and the road leading up to the falls is in very poor condition for 7 kms. However the falls were very good with the unique experience of seeing the waterfalls origin very close from where it was falling down. We also sat there with our feet dipped the cold waters of the falls that was going down. It is a must visit attraction for the chance to see a waterfall so close and without having to walk more than 10-15 steps from the parking. It can be enjoyed by folks of all ages.

We could take our vehicle very near to the fall and then could reach origi of the falls within about five minutes of walk. Lush green ambience all around. We could experience the waterfall going into the beautiful deep and green valley. Quite a pleasing experience.

We visit this falls on a partly rainy day. When we reached the point marked "Dainthlen Falls", we were surprised. We just hear the sound of water falls, but we could not locate the falls due to heavy fog. The parking guy assist us to reached the falls and surprisingly it was only 50 - 80 meters away from the parking place. It is really amazing. Highly recommend.

These falls are about 20 minutes drive from the highway over broken roads most of the way. In early Nov there was a decent gush of water at the head of the falls but not much else. Later into the dry season, I guess there would be hardly any water and could be avoided.

It is five kms off the main road. But as you are near the view point you can see water cascading down in a huge quantity. You are standing on the flowing waters. Be careful the rocks are slippery.

Located very conveniently near the road, Dainthlen Falls is unique in the sense that you can stand on top of the falls right at the edge where falls starts. You can actually walk on the small & shallow river before it falls off the edge

Out of the many waterfalls near cherrapunjee; dain-thlen falls were my favourite. this was mainly due to the location of it- one would need to take a private taxi as its almost in the middle of no where. secondly you are on "top" of the waterfall and can see the force of the water falling down.its sad to see that tourists and locals throw plastic- chips etc inspite of some dustbins placed around. you might be asked to pay a nominal parking fee- which seems weird as its an open space where one can park anywhere.

Dainthelan may be just another waterfall but, when you visit this place at around 4: 45 pm and spend time watching the sunset, then this becomes really special. This place gives the perfect view for one to observe the setting sun and it is enjoyed best with a cup of read tea, may be some noodles.

This waterfall is on a detour from the road to Cherrapunji, just before reaching the very popular Orange roots restaurant. You pass by Sai Mika resort on the left and 6 kilometres ahead you have this waterfall. For
