I visited in May when there was no Hornbill festival going on. Much like a ghost village, with temporarily abandoned food kiosks and eateries. While the hutments were quaint with details of all the tribes and it was nice walking around, it was disappointing to...More

It is the Hornbill Festival location, land for the festival is taken from two adjacent villages named Kigwema and Phesama. It was very enjoying to watch festival at the heritage village of Kisama

I have to admit, that I do not like artificial vilages, but this one is an exception. At least when Hornbill festival takes place. All 16 tribes being present in one place in more or less every day fashion is a must to see.

You will not be able to book accommodation in off season. Once the festival is hosted on the web then it will open links for accommodation.
