Kalamata is a place you will never forget and will always desire to return to. It is ideal for every need. Historic yet simple and magical. The beach is endless, the food delicious and the filoxenia unmatched. Close your eyes as you hear the melodious...More

I was not crazy about this beach. The location of the area that I went to was in front of the Horizon Blu hotel. Too many rocks on the beach but the ocean was lovely. Once you are in the water its beautiful.

Kalamata is not a holiday destination so popular like Thessaloniki, Halkidiki, Crete, Athenes or Corfu but you have to go visit it at least once in life, it worth all the money. Kalamata Beaches are amazing, the views are amazing, the people very nice, the...More

This beach is mixture of sand and pebbles of each size. If you are a fan of sandy beaches you could be disappointed. The beach is more sandy the first 50 m from the port. Deckchairs belong to restaurants and pubs along the street. You...More

In my opinion this is a nice feature/attraction of Kalamata. It's great that there is somewhere to swim in a city or ust sit back and relax in one of the many restaurants or cafes along the way.

Warm sea and a few lazy bars still open so late in the season but still a wonderful opportunity to view the coastline and the mountains beyond

Dark sandy mainly sandy beach and clear water but actual beach front was littered with rubbish, closed restaurants and graffiti. Sun beds available just across the road at the Odyssey cafe, they are free but you are expected to buy food or drink, but you...More

Beach is ok for sunning and swimming, with a fair selection of waterfront bars and cafes. The cleanliness, both of the sand and the water, improves as you walk farther away from the port area.

A long clean beach at the south area of Kalamata. This is not usual for a greek city. You can enjoy your swimming sitting on a cafe, tavern, hotel, even at no store. You pay nothing for the sunbeds and the umbrella.
