I visited Catacaos , Very nice market to buy art and cultural unique items made by ancient technology, This area are known for Gold and Silver Jewellery the price here is very cheap.

A small archaeological site and museum. Not interesting to most people. There is a demonstration of hat and basket weaving. This site is included in some of the tors from Piura, but of less interest to non-Peruvian or non-history folks.

We visited this site with friends from Piura. It's a site of the Narihuala people who lived between 900-1400. It was a matriarchal society that practiced animal sacrifice. The ruins have been degraded by erosion, but you can still see the altar and main court....More
