This is one of the most beautiful and well kept attractions in Gwalior. Really serene and tucked away from hustle and bustle of the town. There is no entry fee. Parking outside could be a little disorderly.

Please note this is an extremely recent structure. While the architecture is wonderful and sitting in the temple sanctum sanctorum is calming. It is not off historic significance. It has just been built by the Birlas. Cameras and bags are not allowed. If you are short on time pls visit other attractions. Yes, unless you are a Sun god worshipper

based on the concept of Konark Sun Temple, it is one of the must see place in gwalior. a cool calm environment, big parks, beautiful sight of peacock turns it into a complete picnic point. people living nearby can be seen offering prayers to the God, Sun twice a day; once during sunrise and other at sunset.

Its a red stone huge structure much resembling the world famous SUN TEMPLE of Orrisa. It is situated near the entrance of Residency at Morar in Gwalior. The temple is on a 5-6 feet high plinth . A beautiful white stone idol of Lord Sun is there. The outer walls also have a few idols of Lord Shiv and Goddess Parvati. A beautiful and well maintained garden is around it.

Sun Temple or Surya Mandir in Gwalior is an exact replica of the famous Sun Temple of Konark, Orissa. It is a famous pilgrimage spot in Gwalior, dedicated to the Sun God. It is situated near the residency of Morar and is one of the newly built temples in the city.

This temple looked far too new and appeared to have had moulds used instead of proper carvings. Set in a lovely garden area with peacocks, parrots and squirrels mingling around, the temple is well maintained. Would give it a miss if you've seen other temples.

A brilliant temple built and maintained by G D Birla Trust. It is devoted to Sun God and appears like a chariot in the mould of ancient Konark Temple. It is a modern temple which took ten years to build and boasts of beautiful sculpted carvings. The inner sanctum of the temple is serene and sunlight shines on the idol throughout the day.
