About
Welcome to one of the Oldest diving school in Cyprus! Established in 1989 and running without interruption as a family business, we are not only counting the yearly hundreds of certified dives, mastered by our siblings and active instructors, but we are also counting the organic knowledge of relaxed and safe dives passed through the generations. We would also like to mention that we are the ONLY diving school in the Protaras area located directly on the water! That’s right! Everything we need is right here in on the beautiful Green Bay beach. We’ll build up the gear and jump right into the diving fun, or onto our boat to explore the more exotic diving spots of the area. And if you feel like supboarding, wakeboarding, jetskiing afterwards – our brother’s GreenBayWatersports is just a wish and a step away. Welcome to our very multi-kulti family! The Koutsavakis are Cypriot, Swedish, Austrian, British. We also speak a bit of Russian, sometimes a bit of Romanian.

I hadn't dived for a few years now and Aquanaut Diving School was recommended by the nearby hotel I was staying at. Spoke with Theo who went through the options and I ended up going for a refresher dive with him the following day. Great care and patience on his part as I was a bit rusty! The equipment I used was well maintained and I was quickly back into it. I subsequently arranged a few dives on Zenobia with Theo later in the week. Unfortunately he burnt himself quite badly in a domestic accident the day before. But despite that he didn't forget our plans and arranged the dive with an alternative provider. A positive indication of his professionalism and customer care. Will happily use again, if I'm back in the area.

Stop searching for a scuba dive experience because you've found the best one.
What a morning we had with Theo, Mike and the team.
Theo walked into our hotel reception to collect us, long blond sun bleached hair and the full scuba diver look. I immediately knew we were in not only safe hands but it was going to be all the fun things. From the offset Theo is engaging, friendly, professional and creates rhe vibe you're looking for. He drove us across to the bay in his old pick up truck and it was perfect. Windows down, sea breeze, chatting, laughing and feeling at ease.
Then we rocked up and the place is picture postcode beautiful with crystal clear water. This is a good day.
Everything takes a reassuringly decent length of time to get going. This is good because it's clear that safety is paramount. There's a simple form to complete, trying on your flippers, your face mask, your wet suit. Theo and the team have some great tips to ensure you don't fog up and what to do if you get water in your mask. It's all straightforward stuff. They run through the safety process and explain exactly what will happen during the dive. Here's the thing, they make the entire process engaging a fun.
Now the dive experience, well you know what book it, jump in and experience it for yourselves. It's absolutely everything you want it to be.
The water is remarkably clear.
It's fun, it's safe, it's a memory that will last a life time.

Myself and my son aged 11 did the beginners dive,they take them from 10 years old and the experience was amazing,they looked after my son so well,he held a starfish ,we saw a turtle,a lot of fish and the whole experience was superb,memories for life! I also did the safari dive,fish feeding and saw the statue ruins aswell as another turtle.The team are very professional,great price and the took pics and photos for free thanks soo much,we'll be back again !

Katerina picked us up from the hotel on time . Took us to the venue where Michael took us through basics. He was very reassuring and patient as one of us was very nervous. He gave us as much time as needed to get used to breathing under water. Once down on the sea bed he checked in on us regularly and pointed marine life out. Thoroughly enjoyable experience highly recommended. We enjoyed it so much booked to go back for a different dive. Thanks guys Shaun & Nikki

Great experience!!! Theo, the owner of the diving school, is a very nice, competent, funny guy who has the seriousness to tell what’s important to dive safely and also to have the best experience possible. Would definitely book a diving trip with him again. Unfortunately, the weather made it impossible to go again this time. The pictures and videos he took were awesome!! Thanks again Theo

Theo and the rest of his family who run this dive school were absolutely amazing. We were a group of 12 of varying experience and ages and they accommodated us all for a learners dive plus dive safari. The visibility of the dive sites on the door step of the dive school was amazing and we saw turtles on both dives. I cant recommend highly enough.

My son who is 14 wanted to experience diving so we were recommended to book with Aquanauts. He joined the one hour beginner session and enjoyed it so much he joined the safari session again in the afternoon. The instructor Theo gave really clear explanation of how all the equipment worked and I had complete confidence for my son to go off with the group without mum in tow. We hope we can visit again and can’t recommend enough.

Do, do, do, do, do not miss this great place and its people. I was there in May 2021 to do my open and advanced course. I got infected with diving fever from this wonderful team in autumn 2020, I DO NOT WANT A CURE
