In Protaras area, fig tree bay is one of the most popular beaches in Cyprus.
Extra tip, if you really want to enjoy it, go a bit early till 09:30 in the morning, so you can find sun beds and umbrella available.
Many cafe shops and supermarkets offers variety of coffees and refreshments!

Warm, shallow, crystal clear sea backed by thick sand. Sunbed/parasol prices are set by the council at 2.50 euro per item which is fantastic value considering the location. If you like watersports you have Fig Tree Water Sports on the beach too and they were very popular.

Absolutely stunning beach, amazing swimming location, plenty of sunbeds, white sand, child friendly.

We have visited here a few times and never been disappointed. With plenty of sun beds and parasoles it is a really enjoyable day.

All sunbeds are in the reach of the sun all day but can be covered by the parasol if needed.

There is a supermarket nearby which stock cold drinks and snacks and toys for the big kids (me) and also the young children.

With 3 or 4 bars / restaurants lunch is not a problem we even had a quick dinner here too one evening.

The sea is unbelievably clear. We came in september last year and it was like a bath. This time as early in the season it was rather chilly but never too cold for a refreshing dip to cool you from the beautiful sun.

There are plenty of bins for rubbish and the beach is kept relatively clean.

5/5 would recommend and will return again this september coming.

Fig tree beach has a lot to offer. The beach is public all the way with reasonable rental rates for umbrellas and chairs for a full day. Plenty of water sports activities, rest rooms - a perfect beach.

The water is amazing for all swimmers and abilities. The kids loved to jump the waves and the sunloungers are just 2.50 euros.
Lots of shops nearby for takeaway drinks and the public toilets are just a 1 min walk.

Stayed at a hotel along fig tree bay with access straight on to the boardwalk which went left or right along the bay. Beautiful beach and facilities. These two days it was extremely windy which was good for the wind surfing.
Because it is November most of the hotels and cafes are shut so I can only imagine what it would be like during the season. A beautiful place and one I look forward to revisiting.

Hello you lot! Although I’ve been to Cyprus a few times now, I’ve never been to Fig Tree Bay, so we decided to go with extended family who live not far away. We went on a Sunday and as a result, it was fairly busy; no where near what it would have been like if not for COVID, but busy enough. The sun loungers and brollies were nearly all taken up, but we had one anyway, so chose a spot and set up camp. The water is very warm and we went swimming out to a rock formation which is about a 5 - 10 minute swim depending on whether you’re mates with Adam Peaty or just like the occasional dip. Once there you can sit on smooth rocks and chill before going back to the beach. There is a fab restaurant where we had lunch just at the back of the beach with curved seats at the front. VERY reasonable and the food was flipping awesome.

We got there around 9:45 and there were plenty of beds. I would advise to get there early if you want a good spot as it soon got very busy!
As all beaches in Cyprus are public, you do need to pay to use the sun beds and umbrellas. This cost us €7.50 for the whole day.
The beach does get very busy but the views and the sea is definitely worth the visit!
Take a snorkel so you you swim out and see all the fish.
Very nice beach but get there early 😊

One of the nicest beaches around Aiya Napa. In mid April it wasn't crowded at all. There are beds to rent for 2.5 euro each, similarly to other beaches around. Toilets available and a Kiosk and Restaurants around. 200m near the 101 bus stop.

Fig tree bay is a stunning beach area, especially at the moment due to the limitations on numbers due to covid control measures. Would highly recommend for families and couples, however, it can get really busy during normal summer times. Excellent food services are available just above the beach area and there is a good amount of free parking.
