Unusual sculpture at the roundabout on the way into Larne. Found put it is meant to be a harp and remind people about the History of Larne. I think it looks nice but other than that not a lot to say.

Apparently built to improve the round about and welcome visitors to Larne with a reminder of Larne's shipbuilding history. It is situated at the roundabout next to the harbour and is the first thing visitors see as they leave the harbour. It is approximately 12...More

I called back here a couple of times, and was underwhelmed. Hoping to see an August sunset through the strange bars of the sculpture, I found that a screen of trees on part of the roundabout blocks that part of the sky at that time...More

Larne is a port, and "The Stern" is a clever piece of art that encompassed the key features of the stern of a ship in a few large pieces of metal. Worth seeing

This is very large sculpture in the middle of the roundabout heading to the port area in Larne-I guess its meant to represent the boating in the area but it generally just looks a little out of place

This is complimented by a big crown at the next roundabout. While this one is highly artistic the other one looks like a Walt Disney prop

I returned here on a pilgrimage to see this sculpture up close and personal. Like most people I’d only experienced seeing it briefly while driving around the roundabout where it stands. The good side? Well, Henry Moore’s sculptures litter the world, but often have one...More

I had not realized this was a work of art until I read the reviews here! It had just seemed like a great big iron thing, some old decoration I did not like it in particular. But Larne is actually a port, with all the...More
