Nice day out for all ages
Great water park suitable for all ages. Well run with a lot of lifeguards manning all pools. Bought tickets online. Got the bus from Nerja 2€ took about an hour. 5€ if you want a sunbed but loads of umbrellas to lay your towel under for free. Food in the park is not great and very expensive 4.50€ for one coke! 9.95€ for hotdog meal. Take your own. There's a supermarket just outside also. Got an Uber back 27€. Nice day out.

    Great family day out
Great family day out, clean, not packed, no huge queues. Ok, it’s not the fastest, scariest water slide rides we’ve ever been on, but enjoyable nonetheless. Plenty of space and umbrellas for shade. Inflatables are 10Eu to hire if you want to keep one with you, plus 4Eu refundable deposit. Toilets and changing areas are clean. We spent 5 hours there with a 12 year old. Plenty to keep the fun going. Recommend the red slides, if you lay down, you’ll take off for a few seconds when you hit the bumps!

Great day if a little pricey for extras
We were a group of 2 parents and 4 young adults and we thoroughly enjoyed the day at Aquavelis. The park was clean and tidy with plenty of space for everyone. The price of very average food and drink was high as you would expect but there is a large supermarket 100 yrds from the entrance where we stocked up before we went in. You could also get your hand stamped and leave the park as long as you returned within 1 hour. The extra costs do add up, sunbeds, rubber rings etc but there is no need to have a sunbed each as everyone is up and about all the time, nor a rubber ring each as you could alternate between the slides that required a ring and those that didn't. We hired 4 rings for the 6 of us and 2 of them were sat next to the sunbeds most of the time. We didn't find the queues to be long (as long as you had your own rubber ring) nor did we see any rudeness or pushing in but we did go on a weekday outside of the school holidays.

    Great but expensive waterpark!
It was an amazing waterpark but the queue's for the slides were very big. You also had to pay for a ring - €8 for a single and €10 for a double. It was also €5 per sunbed and €4 for a locker on top of the entry price. This was the most expensive trip we went on on our holiday but the waterslides were amazing.

    Good day out
We had a lovely day out here as a fanily of 4. Queues not bad and felt clean and tidy and not too busy. Plenty of parking for cars too....unlike the one in Fuengirola One comment I would say that they need to install more shade at the top where the queues are. All in all a good fun family day out.

Fun family day out in Andalucia
My kids love Aquavelis. We go from Nerja when we are there on holiday. It is so much fun, with a wave pool, a variety of slides, splash and kids pools. The food is quite pricey though. You can reserve a lounger (you pay), or pop a towel on the floor. Lots of people take food in cooler boxes etc to save money. There are also lockers for hire

    Best tourist trap ever.
You have to pay for everything. For example, you can't wear sunglasses without a special strap that they obviously sell themself. Felt like a tourist trap. All in all we all enjoyed a good day. Slides where fun.

Lovely day out in a clean and small water park. Priced as you would expect and busy due to summer holiday time, but well worth a visit. Kids loved it. Only down side is the purchasing of the rings, they had run out and that limited use of two of the slides…..some family’s had 3 or 4 piled up next to empty sunbeds. It would be better to limit to two per family, orissue them at the slides so everyone could make use of them. Still didn’t spoil the day.

Very dissatisfied. Went with my youngest daughter who was born with Down syndrome. Before I spitted the website to see if there were limited options for children with special needs ! NOTHING on the website ! Normally all over Europe you pay as a parent for a special needs teen only the ticket for the disabled person, since you are there to guide them. They let us pay full price ! Once we were in she had non stop boys with whistles around her saying she could not go on this or that ! Not only dissapointing but totally frustrating and discriminating and disrespectful towards my child . Who wanted to leave asap ! Tried to speak to the manager to see if he could understand and return a part of our money , but he left us with ignorant very disrespectful remarks about his vision about inclusion ( saying she would never drive a car either when she would grow up !!) ….

Having spent the last 4 hours here I am wondering if this would be a similar water park to one in say North Korea.
All you hear all day is short bursts of the whistle because you literally cannot do anything without being whistled at.
That said the park is ok for younger children with no thrilling rides as such, very basic slides.
The entrance fee is just part of the cost as you also have to pay for your lounger and rubber rings. The rubber rings act as a fastpass to save you queuing up for rubber rings at the slides which would then make you wait twice as long.
Unfortunately there are no good water parks in the Malaga area and even though this is probably the best one it's still nothing to get excited about.
They do have a wave pool however this has only been on for 5 minutes twice in the entire day which is a bit pathetic.
Took advice of other reviews and brought our own food and drink which was a very good shout.
Very expensive overall compared to the many similar and better water parks we have been to before.
But as mentioned if you are in the Malaga area it's probably the best one to go to

Aquavelis as a park is not bad and they have renovated it very nicely, if you like that sort of thing. I happen to not like it and I am only here because daughter had a dance performance in the park and had tagged along a few friends for the day. Then you start noticing the things you don’t like much stronger. Like why does the restaurant open 1.5 hour after the park opens at 11? 5 euros for a very uncomfortable beach chair? Food and drink outrageously expensive. Fortunately it is only a once a year occasion!

Compact site therefore easy to get around, good slides and wave pool, short queues, clean everywhere, good lockers, safety conscious staff and really helpful management in getting us a taxi (approx 40E each way from Nerja). Food was a bit pricey but pretty good for burgers and chips. Main tip is book online and get there early - we got there about midday and hardly any umbrellas/shade left, no sunbeds, inflatables or mats left.

Let me say from the beginning that I am not a fan of water parks. We had given our two children (12 & 10) a 2 hour maximum time limit for our visit to Aquavelis as a result. We ended up staying over six hours and were amongst the last to leave. From the moment we stepped across the threshold we were impressed by the cleanliness of the park. Everywhere was immaculate. It was incredibly well organised and run. We had food that was made fresh to order and tasty!! No complaints from anyone. We felt completely comfortable allowing the children to go off by themselves on the various slides as the slides were incredibly well manned and run by lifeguards, as were the various pools. All the equipment appeared to be in very good condition and very well maintained. Every member of staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. If you are in the area, I could heartily recommend a visit. Really good fun!
