This is the location of the fatal fight in the early 1500's between Magellan and his men, and the Filipinos fighting under the leadership of the warrior LapuLapu. You can see the location where Magellan was killed as well as where his remains were entombed....More

Very substantial. I found the Shrine and the surrounds - there are so many other attractions to see in the immediate vicinity - fascinating. Improved my knowledge of the Spanish colonisation of the Philippines.

The Lapu-Lapu Statue and Magellan's Marker are in the same small park. Plenty of souvenir and snack options available.

This is situated on Mactan Island of Lapu Lapu City. There is no entrance fee but there are some souvenirs shops. Just spent at most 15mins to take some photos and understand the historical part of it.

A nice spot to bring visitors. We have been here several times always with out-of-town visitors. Early evening (before dark) is always the best time.
