Stunning piece of nature
Mar 2019 • Couples
Wasn’t expecting to pay on arrival (only $17 reais pp) so was a little put off at first, there is a bit of a hill to walk down.. immediately I dreaded the climb back up, however I noticed benches intermittently placed along the way with adequate rubbish bins for litter (it was a very clean place). Once at the bottom of the hill we crossed a quaint bridge then came across a little orchards green house and souvenirs shop of equal size, there’s a restaurant there though we didn’t eat. Past the restaurant you see the waterfall! And how stunning it is. There’s a rope for easy access as well as to hang onto for relaxing in the water.. naturally the rocks can be slippery be careful! Though feel confident there is a life guard there, follow the stairs up the bank on the right hand side and there’s another pool of deep water, out of the life guards view but if you’re a competent swimmer it’s another beautiful spot. Over all this was a well maintain place, not over swam with tourists or locals, we visited twice in our week long stay around Itacaré.

Great place for swim

A small walk from the road but 100% worth it. Amazing little waterfall with a bar and food close by for a light lunch after swimming.
We went back a second time we enjoyed it so much

Beautiful but do not eat there
Feb 2019 • Family
The place is fantastic really well preserved with a view of the local forest and flowers. BUT do not eat at he restaurant. It is really expensive food is not fresh and portions are stupidly small( I ordered the Fisch with vegetables what I got was 2/3 of the plate with carrots and potatoes only and the fish was not bigger than my watch!!!)

Magical

The pictures don’t do this justice, it’s so beautiful in person. The water is perfect for swimming and playing under the waterfall! There is also a very nice restaurant with a view of the falls. I highly recommend spending a day here!

Tranquil and fun
Jul 2018 • Friends
We parked in the shade on the main road and walked down to the river where there was a foot bridge to the far side. On through lush vegetation and exotic flowers, past a nursery selling orchids and other potted plants, to the waterfalls. A life guard was on duty, and ropes across the deep parts of the water meant even non swimmers could enjoy the water. Then we continued the walk up the side of the river to a quiet path about quarter of a mile long to the next cataract. There’s a restaurant by the main waterfall but we only had drinks so I cannot comment on the food. Plenty of shade and elegant feel to the place.

Beautiful

This waterfall is nice and you can have a bath in it. It is large but not very tall. You have to pay to enter (about 4-5 dollars). There is a good restaurant where you can eat, with good prices.

Swimming at a waterfall
Jan 2017 • Couples
Great I location. Swim in the fresh water at the base of the waterfall.

Facilities to eat if you wish

Two Canoes available to paddle up to next water fall (smaller).

Not far from road only a short walk. But is a slopped access.

Overall a great lace to visit if you are in the area.

The Best
Nov 2016 • Friends
It was a sunny day in November. IF IT WAS RAINY I wld have a problem because the down to the fall is crude soil and it wld be muddy. But it was not . At a toll you have to pay 13 reais ( 3,5 dollars) only cash ! Down there is a beautiful place with cafeteria ( including beer ; they accept cards ) Beautiful vegetation and cultivated flowers in vases . The waterfall is a double store high ; you use a rope ; there is a lifeguard on duty and you might take a shower just bellow precipitation . There are wood staircases and you might see the waterfall from above . I was there for two hours and time rans smoothly. The same way down you have to climb to get off . Take your time because is a real workout! If the day was rainy....?

Amazing experience
May 2016 • Family
This was one of the highlights of visiting Brazil. Hiking up the trails and swimming in the falls was so refreshing, and it was certainly a bit of a workout climbing the road out of the site, back to the main parklot, but well worth the experience. Nice cafe there to just sit and enjoy. Strongly recommend this to anyone who loves to swim. I wouldn't take young children there as water is very deep and the rocks are quite slippery.
