We decided to do a 1 1/2 hour lesson on Hua hin beach with kiteboarding Asia and we had a great time. The instruction was great, the conditions in may ideal for beginners and the water warm which always helps. Couple of things to note - take a rash vest and wetsuit leggings because the sea had lots of small jellyfish in it whilst we were there.

I did a 3 day beginner course at KBA Pranburi and I loved it.

My instructor was very good and made me feel secure an did this in a professional way. The hole setup was great, nice place and good people, the laid back atmosphere was great.

I can highly recommend this place.

I did not want to travel with all of my gear, so I connected with KBA for hourly equipment rental. It was a fair price, I think 1200 THB for an hour or 2000 THB for 2 hours. The gear was great, I had a brand new 12m F-ONE Bandit kite, which was really solid. The KBA crew on the beach inflated the kite for me (air compressor at the beach was nice) and gave me a launch. After riding some really fun waves for a couple hours, all I had to do was ride up to the beach, signal for a landing. The crew caught my kite, I dropped off the board and harness, and walked away smiling. Did not have to break down and fold the kite, or carry my gear back to the shop. They took care of everything. The price for rental was cheaper than the baggage fees at the airport to bring my own gear, and you can always change gear if conditions change... Kiteboarding in Hua Hin is awesome. Was there for 6 days, and it was good kiting conditions every day, 13-18 knots of sideshore winds.

Found their gear prices expensive. 800 aud more than OZ prices.
Bought a moses foil at new price and found out it was second hand.
Will never do buisness with KBA again.
I need to fund another outlet for Airrush kites now!

Look no further for a great experience in thailand for learning or practicing your kiteboarding skills
Thailand is a great place to learn and start - and KBA Pranburi has a great beachfront location.
Jay and his team are a world class operation
Thanks for the lesson and gear!

I went to learn kitesurfing at kiteboarding asia pranburi and ended up not only kiting by myself after a few days but also I picked up a set of equipment at 800 USD cheaper than back home! My two teenage kids joined in on the fun and also made it up on the board. Jay the owner was super helpful and the instructors really nice. I could tell they are very safety oriented. Super happy and I can recommend this place 100%. Didn't see any jellies, seasonal perhaps??
