The specialty of this lake is the color of its water. Lalakhal is a must visit place in Sylhet, if you love natural views and boat riding. Go directly to Nazimgarh restaurant near to border and hire a boat to experience this wonderful boat journey. No need to rent from restaurant. Gwainghat is cheaper. Food at restaurant is good. But... Lalakhal is kind of situated on the opposite side of where most of the other tourist attractions are. Thus for this reason it gets less visitors then it really should. You can hire local boats for BDT 400-500 and roam around in this lake. The specialty of this lake is the color of its water. Especially in the winter, the... More

Lalakhal boat trip is quite amazing. You have to go to Gwainghat by bus or private transport which takes about 1 and half hour. Then you can hire motor boats from there to take you to the deep of the canal. Water is green and clear which will sooth you up.
