About
The Coffee Museum has become the major tourist attraction in our region, with thousands of visitors per year. This inspires us to share our taste for the art of drinking coffee. The coffee Museum's goal is to let visitors know about the origins of quality coffee and the different process steps it goes through before we can enjoy a good cup of joe. Our guides, who specialize in the history and culture of coffee, will take you on a fascinating tour where you will see our plantations as well as an interesting exhibition of objects from the 19th and 20th centuries.

Thanks to the tourism office in Coatepec, we learned about this museum. Actually, it is more than a museum - they actually grow and process the coffee as well as offering an excellent educational tour. Our guide was very well informed, a university student. Even the gift shop had unique and interesting offerings.

We will recommend this to our friends.

We visited this museum since we stayed a night in Xalapa which is only 20 minutes away.

The museum is very interesting, they show you the coffee plantage and equipment used, new and old.

We had a guide who spoke english, and he's very interested in coffee and was able to answer all questions, and told us a lot about the process of coffee beans.

If you are even slightly interested in coffee its worth a visit. And they have excellent coffee and other products for sale to a very good price.

You would never imagine you can find this treasure in a small route between Coatepec and Xalapa. Veracruz is known for its good coffee, this museum not only tells you why, but it allows you to discover it with all your senses. You get information, excellent coffee, music, motivation. You learn about coffee production, its benefits and today's challenges. Such a pity we only had a few hours to devote to it. Once there we found out more activities are available. If you are a coffee lover you cant miss it, and if you are not, you will become one. A TOTAL MUST IF YOU ARE IN VERACRUZ.

Little museum with the great collection of antique coffee making devices. Very interesting guided tour on the story of coffee making process, starting directly from the plant in the garden and ending with the good cup of espresso. Recommended the nice shop of the local coffee and different kinds of products made from coffee. If you are not in coffee religion yet you will be converted!

It is very good explanation of the coffee production process for amateur people like me!... they take you the coffee plantations and show you the complete phases to produce a cup of coffee, the tour includes two or three cups of coffee: Americano, Coatepecano and Espresso. This is a must to do when in Coatepec or Xico...

This charming little museum gives a good impression of the whole coffee making process, from the plant to bean. The museum isn't large, but you need to make a tour to fully understand.
Our guide (her English was excellent) was a passionate lady. Her enthusiam is heart warming.
The coffee is deliscious!
Highly adviseable

This is a good activity to do if you like coffee and are in Coatepec. It is located right outside of the town, about 8 minutes away.
They offer guided tours with an explanation about how coffee is grown, processed and commercialized.
At first, they show you a movie about Coffee, It is very interesting, however, I wished they had a bigger screen and that it was louder, because the museum sits right next to the highway, so every time a big truck goes by, it gets so noisy you can’t hear anything. And because of the coffee and sugar plantations in the area, those big trucks drive by constantly.
After the movie, they take you on the tour, where you go outside to see the coffee plants, then the grains, how they dry them, and toast them and the whole process.
Our guide was excellent and she answered all our questions. We learnt all about coffee. At the end of the tour, she offered everyone a coffee, which was delicious, even my kids got to try coffee with their Lechero version. It was awesome because my oldest actually liked it!
We really enjoyed the museum, drinking coffee and exploring around. Highly recommend it.

We just went in to look around, and we stayed 2 hours.
I had 2 double espresso's and my wife had a capucino, and believe me it was the best I had in Mexico for more than a month now. The Apan brothers are exceptional people, and in addition the younger brother, Fernando, is a gifted pianist who made our time even more enjoyable by playing for us a Schumann sonata and some Mexican Jazz.
They also have tours to their coffee plantations every morning, which we missed.
Don't you guys miss this place or the tours.
